O, Oregon!

Welcome to the herd two new smarty pants…both from Oregon (a very smart place, for sure!).

Susie Walton is the Associate Director for Pathway Enterprises in Medford, Oregon (way, way down south….). She knows LOTS AND LOTS and can lead you through billing and attendance, ISPs, provider administration and most other things you may come up with. I’m waiting on her blog (and dog pictures!).

As you can see above, Susie has excellent taste in friends. :D

Gina Loraine is of the highest quality…that is ‘cos she is the Training Quality Manager from Dungarvin in Portland, Oregon. She is never in her office as she is always running around teaching people things.

(I understand Gina.)

Gina also is a friend of Archie’s, having pug-sat in Salem…she, as Susie, has excellent taste in friends.

Welcome these guys! They are among the awesomest of the awesome…which would be all SIXTY (yes, I said it) of Therap’s Certified Trainers!

CCHIT Review with Justin

This morning, Justin did a completely awesome review of the new and upcoming features within Therap that will meet CCHIT standards, as Therap goes for Electronic Health Record (EHR) certification.

We are planning more sessions for certified trainers…so keep a look out!

Get Your Nerd On!

Hello Therap Nerds,

You have a new toy to play with for the holidays. Early, I know, but fun nonetheless. The Beta is the working release of the impending new version due out in mid January 2012. You can use the login portal to use your own Therap system to play, as it is not real and is only a snapshot to allow testing.

You will login using the link below as normal but you will be in the Beta system (so you will need to enable new roles and such). Also, let me know if there is anything else you have wanted to experiment with and I can enable it for your agency’s Therap system at no cost, as it is not in the “real” or production database. This includes the MAR, for example, and new features such as Individual Care Plans.

Login here: https://beta.therapservices.net/g/login

Review release notes here: http://support.therapservices.net/display/support/Release+Notes+for+Therap+2012.0

And please let me know if you need help. We are looking for suggestions, questions and feedback from all of you super smarty pants out there SO DROP US A LINE with anything notable–good, bad or indifferent.

PS: Check out the new live help system in 2012.0…it is shiny and right out of the box. We will be staffing it as much as we can for testing purposes as well!

***********Happy Holidays!

Weather Report: Danbury, Connecticut

All day has been in the fifties, windy, bright sunshine and leaves falling like rain. True autumn in New England.

I arrived from Dallas last night after a week with some very groovy Texans. Grabbed dinner with Maureen and Andrew, and then took the scenic route to my hotel as much of the highway was closed. :(

However, the sunshine this morning made me forget the rainy, dreary drive last night. I spent much of today catching up with Therap things, my things, CT things…and will be on my way to do Maine things tomorrow. Our conference begins on Monday and you had better be there with your LL Bean sweater. LL Bean is like an official Maine thing…you are not allowed into the state without something that is from LL Bean…just letting you know. It’s a (wicked good!) rule.

…And There Was ONLY One

Provider administrators, take note! (Some of you have not been paying attention…tsk tsk!)

In the past, before 9.0, you needed two login accounts if you were a “full blown” provider administrator.

Meaning you had the dash aye dee emm account on top of your user account.

And if you forgot the password, we had to reset it. And if an aye dee emm left, Therap would also have to deactivate the account. Likewise with activating a new one.

Now that has all changed. YOU ONLY NEED ONE ACCOUNT. And you also can activate and deactivate other “super (duper) admins”…

Check it out here.

To do this, it is simple:

1. Log into the aye dee emm account.

2. Go to User Privilege

3. Find your user account

4. Click on it

5. Click on the first drop down box: AGENCY WIDE AND ADMINISTRATIVE ROLES.

6. Click all the boxes in the right hand column marked ADMINISTRATIVE ROLES, most importantly, the last one: SUPER ADMIN

7. Save it.

Now, go into the user list. You will notice next to your user account, there is an orange “SA” box which means that account is now capable of ANYTHING IN THE THERAP UNIVERSE.

Deactivate your old aye dee emm account and say farewell to two SComm boxes and another login to remember.

Therap 9.0 :: Revamping the MAR

I was playing with this yesterday. Very cool indeed.

Medication History and MAR

  • Users can now precisely schedule a medication in our new ‘Medication Schedules’ section in the Medication History Form with advanced options like ‘Day of the week’, ‘Every Alternate Day’ etc. If the Frequency and the Schedule Time of a scheduled medication is entered into the Medication History form, the corresponding cells in the MAR will be automatically colored green.

Users can select cells for Scheduled Medications from the Medication Administration Record Configuration page. These cells will then be available for recording data in Medication Administration Record Data page.

Recording data for PRN and Other medications is now done by clicking on the Record Administration link at the top-right corner of the respective sections.

  • We have also included a new Due Medications option that will display all scheduled medications that are to be administered before the end of a day.

More later after Pathway Enterprises!

Therap 9.0 :: Time Tracking

It’s coming soon like I promised!!…I know this solves a bunch of issues for sleep, mood, and interval tracking of all sorts! Watch for the release!

Time Tracking

Users can now monitor the activities of the Individuals quickly and easily with the help of our new Time Tracking module. It provides a unique platform for our Users to record the activities of the Individuals at regular intervals. Users will now be able to enter data easily on the templates created by the Provider Administrators, to track the behavior of the Individuals.

Users can record the activity for a particular Individual by clicking on the drop down box at each interval from the template created by the Provider Administrator.

Time Tracking Report for a particular Individual for a selected date range can be generated easily.

More later!

SPARC/Stepping Stone, Grants Pass

Archie checked Marie's pivot table for her...

I visited with Marie and Kim, and a whole bunch of staff down at SPARC in Grants Pass. We reviewed billing and attendance, bounced around with personal finance and ISP (and got a few more attendees for Jacki’s behavior tracking webinar!), and went through a pile of questions. We also did some nerdy Excel stuff including PIVOT TABLES!!! YAY! :D

SPARC–as with Ashland and others–sees some great possibilities for tracking brokerage services using Therap’s billing and attendance. Let me know, my other little Oregonians, if you’d like to have a gander.

An App for That!

Therap’s first native iPhone app is available through iTunes NOW. Go get it. It does cool stuff with Tlogs on any iThing…
