new pic As the National Director of Business Development, Anna travels to many states in the US consulting with providers about the benefits of Therap, and offers on-going training and support to Therap users. In addition to many Therap demonstrations, Anna also speaks at conferences across the country on topics such as Leadership, Quality, Person-Centered Services, and Efficiencies Gained Through Using Technology.

 Anna  joined Therap with 20 years of I/DD service delivery experience and knowledge of the disability movement. Prior to joining the Therap team, Anna was President/CEO of New Beginnings Enterprises, in Neodesha, Kansas, for 12 years. Beyond overseeing the day-to-day activities of her organization she was also involved with Kansas legislative initiatives, grant writing, strategic planning, and creating entrepreneurial business opportunities for people with disabilities.

She was the chairwoman of the Disability Rights Center of Kansas and also Chaired the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board for 6 years, being appointed by Governor Bill Graves and Governor Kathleen Sebilius.

Anna received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Friends University, in Wichita, Kansas. She is a graduate of the National Leadership Institute on Developmental Disabilities, at the University of Delaware and returns on occasion as a faculty member working with emerging leaders in the field.

Anna and her partner, Nick, live in Austin, TX.  She is “Mom” to four boys…and a yellow Labrador named Burton. Her oldest son, Andrew, is a professional actor in Chicago, IL., Elliot is a college senior majoring in Music at Colorado State University, Hunter is a high school senior, and Connor is a 9th grader.

When she is not off on her Therapite adventures (as she calls them), Anna enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, golfing, playing tennis, attending sporting events, baking, kayaking, photography, and visiting with friends.
