Up Next: Seattle, WA
As I sit here in one of the Southwest Airlines’ newest planes (admiring all of the updated buttons and fixtures…yes, its those sorts of things that interest me) it dawned on me that you may want to know what I’ve been up to this week.
I spent Sunday-Tuesday at the APDDA Conference in San Antonio, TX. It is one of those national conferences where about 150 Executive Directors from ICFish agencies, both public and private, get together and talk about closures, State trends, and State-of-the-State. It was interesting to hear the presentations and see many faces of folks that I only get to catch up with this one time a year. Judi Myers (Gatesway Foundation – OK) as well as Laura and Jo (Community Access-TX) were on hand to give me a hug and say kind words about how much they love Therap.
I got home yesterday, kissed the husband…and the dog…maybe not in that order, then changed out the items in my suitcase (San Antonio weather is quite different than Washington temperatures
) and caught the season finale of Downton Abbey (OMG what a twister of an ending) before getting off to bed for 5 hours. At the airport at 5:30am to catch a 7am flight to Seattle, Washington this morning. Busy day today once I hit the ground. I will be meeting with another county in Oregon about implementation throughout their area. My day ends pleasantly over dinner with one of our newest customers, Cathie Baugh, Executive Director at Tahoma Hills, where she intends to fill me in on all of her implementation activities over the past several months. (Keep up with me here…there’s still more to do.)
Tomorrow I add another Washington agency to our very large list of providers in the NW and then venture over to Tacoma and talk to a provider about how much more amazing they could be if they only embraced the tools that Therap can offer them (Look for our next new Therapite coming soon).
Friday I fly back home where I will spend a week in my office tying up a bunch of loose ends before the month closes. Can you believe that we are a little more than a week from MARCH?! Gee whiz, where does all the time go??? (oh yeah, see above).
Many wishes for a terrific “hump day” to all of you! Thanks for supporting Therap! We sure do appreciate YOU!

Welcome Danville…ARIZONA
Yes, if you are thinking…WAIT A MINUTE…isn’t Danville already a Therap user???? Why yes! Of course they are…BUT…as of this month the Arizona programs are joining the movement for improvement (clever huh???) and embracing Therap across their Arizona services.
Danville Services Corp. began as two side-by-side group homes in Riverton, Utah. Today, Danville is active in four states—Utah, Arizona, Nevada and Oregon—where they provide a full range of services for people with disabilities. Danville offers their clients supervised apartments, supported living arrangements, supported employment and day training services.
Have You Seen Our Nursing Assessment?
You may not know this but recently Therap introduced the Comprehensive Health Assessment tool. eCHAT, as its called, is designed to keep an in-depth assessment record of an individual’s health symptoms and history. It also calculates the overall acuity level and publishes a summary with recommendations for cases that may require care plans.
The intuitive eCHAT module automatically pulls in a portion of the information from other Therap modules such as ‘Individual Data Forms’ and ‘Health Tracking’. Like all other Therap modules, the system allows for easy submission, editing, review and reporting.
Comprehensive health information and history contained in eCHAT forms include:
- Comprehensive Health Assessment Tool (eCHAT)
- Diagnoses and conditions
- Active medications
- Allergies
- Lab and radiology reports
- Utilization of medical services
- Vital signs
- Height/Weight
- Nutrition and Tube Feeding
- Aspiration Risk
- Oral/Dental Hygiene
- Communications Ability and Visual/Hearing Impairments
- Musculoskeletal Disorders
- Falls and Injuries
- Neurological Signs and Symptoms
- Cardiac/Circulatory Conditions
- Endocrine Disorders
- Bowel and Bladder Concerns
- Renal Disorders
- Gastrointestinal Condition
- Reproductive Health
- Behavior Symptoms and Management
- Infection control
- Respiratory conditions
- Daily Life Activities
- Skin and Wound Conditions
- Health Practices
- Pain
You can check out the screen shots at the link above. If you like it….contact me or your regional business development team member for more information about how you can have access to eCHAT!
FYI…Arizona is HOT
I spent some time in Phoenix last week seeing our customers and talking to hopefully a few new customers. I’ll tell ya…that is one hot state. Oh my gosh was it hot! Check out my little thermostat on the car.

To give me a little joy while I was driving from Tucson to Phoenix, a friend of mine sent me a picture. It is sooo cute I thought I’d share it with you! Way to adorable!!!!

Keep cool Phoenix…I’m back home where the temp is hovering around 64 degrees today. Much more comfortable than the 114 degrees I left in Arizona. Be back soon to warm up!!! See all of you next month!
Thank you Sue, Michele and Timothy

I had the amazing opportunity to spend the day with Sue, Michele, and Timothy from CCS in Tucson, AZ. yesterday. We hosted a Therap Information Session followed by a Therap mini-training at the office. Super fun with some very special customers of ours.
To the CCS team…THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I had the best time with you. I can’t wait to come back out and see what magic we can create!
PS. If you want to send any of those 90 degree temperatures over to me…send a little…I’m needing a sunny day for a round of golf.
