There is only one week a year that the term, being “ON” is just a little bit more important than the other 51 weeks in the year. Such was the case this week when “on” began around 7am and “off” happened somewhere after midnight ever since last Sunday….but what a wonderful week it was to be a Therapite!

After five intense days of sessions, meals, entertainment, brainstorming, networking, and smiling I am now headed homeward for a few days to re-charge my battery before I’m off to do the mini version of this past week.

Therap, once again, pulled off a wonderful conference and sent over 300 people back to their agencies with dreams of Individual Home Page, MAR’s, Nursing Care Plans, and ISP’s (just to name a few) dancing in their heads. What else could one ask for????

Hey there folks in Oregon…Washington…Northern California…Utah….Idaho…and any other part of the country that wants to come hang out with us in Salem Oregon, its time once again for our annual Therap Oregon Conference. Are you going to come join me, Allison, Kevin, Brent, and a few other amazing Therapites to learn more about Therap and all that it can do to advance your organization?

Like our other regional conferences, this training intensive event will include beginner, intermediate advanced level sessions conducted by Therap experts on various Therap modules. Conference highlights will include sessions on:

• Hands-on training on different Therap modules including incident reports,health tracking and billing (see below)
• An overview to eCHAT: Therap’s Electronic Comprehensive Health Assessment Tool
• Therap Medication Administration Records (MAR)
• User Presentations and Discussions
• Oregon User Group Meeting

In addition, Talintel will be there to present the results of a multi-year research project involving 26 providers and approximately 1,000 DSPs across 20 states.

Conference – November 10-11

I’ve got to admit, Salt Lake City and its Therapites are pretty AWESOME. We started the conference this morning with lots of smiles and laughter and catching up on happenings in the different agencies.

This week our guests are from Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming. Each with their own special love of Therap and a few that are just starting up and want to get the expert training experience that’s offered at our conferences. This week I have the pleasure of working with Allison, Deb, Stacey, and our new Therapite-in-Training, Brent. Check out today’s pics! Sharing the Therap love in Salt Lake City, Utah!

Yep, I’m in Denver…again! It’s hard to resist this area. Not only do you get the beauty of the mountains but the providers in Colorado are just about as aswesome as they come!

The Denver Conference took off this morning without a single hitch…go figure…huh??!!!

Who are you gonna find this week hanging out with me in Denver???? Well, we have Maureen (Moe) Noonan, Jim Kelly, Chris Johnson, Stacy Kernisan, and Jay Cyr accompaning me on this wonderful adventure we call the Therap Colorado Conference.

In addition to the MANY Colorado users that are here we also have some of our Nebraska agencies and a few New Mexico companies joining us as well. Whoo Hoo!!!!! I’m stoked! This is gearing up to be a terrific day of Therap learning. Yea, I know…you wish you were here too…so do I.

The Annual Colorado Conference is around the corner…just two weeks until its here. Have you gotten your team registered? We are looking forward to beautiful weather in Denver and incredible Therapites that will give you tons and tons of information about all of our Therap applications!

The conference will provide a platform for existing Therap users to share their ideas and information regarding various Therap modules including General Event Reports (GER), Health Tracking, Medication Administration Records (MAR), Billing, Attendance, Electronic Comprehensive Health Assessment Tools (eCHAT) and many more.

College of Direct Support team members will also be present to train on their courses and learning management system.

Furthermore, there will be discussions on Therap’s new features including Time Tracking and an Introduction to Individual Unification. Users will be given opportunity to ask questions regarding Therap applications and share their experiences of using the Therap system.

If you havn’t registered…don’t ya think its about time to get it done? I will be looking for you! Can’t wait to see all of our Therap Colorado, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas, and South Dakota customers that may be attending!

If you are one of our guests attending the National Therap Provider Conference in Fishkill, NY this upcoming week, we have arranged for a hotel van service to get you to the hotel from the airport or the train station.

You can contact the hotel at 845-896-6281 from either Stewart Airport or Beacon Train Station when you arrive and we will send a van to get you to all the fun and Therap excitement!!!!

Boy do we have A LOT of sessions taking place. I can guarantee that if you didn’t know much about Therap…you will leave feeling like a Therap GENIUS!!!!

Therap Services and CDS are working jointly to enhance the services given to the people with developmental disabilities. This conference is thus an attempt by the two industry leaders, to utilize web-based technology in educating and training a workforce who lends a helping hand to the developmental disabled community.

The conference will feature multiple interactive sessions and workshops focusing on the services provided by Therap and on the curriculum of the Learning Management System offered by CDS. Among other sessions, some major sessions to look forward to will include: Training on Therap Applications, Networking with other Therap Users and Industry Experts and Sharing Ideas to Create New and Improved Therap Training and Support Materials. There will also be some specific sessions for advanced users, system administrators and potential users of Therap or CDS.
