I know you have been on the edge of your office chair waiting for this month’s installment of weird holidays. Well, not to disappoint, I have quite a fun list for you. So, pull up your Outlook Calendar and get ready because here we go…..

Canada Day kicks off the beginning of the month on July 1st!

Who can resist one of these? Why don’t you head over to your favorite ice cream store on July 7th to celebrate Strawberry Sundae Day.

I’m all over July 12th and Pecan Pie Day…Yummy!

Here’s something to Moo about on July 15th…but I have to ask, how does one celebrate Cow Appreciation Day?

There’s not a lot to get wound up about on the 25th. Just pull out a needle and thread it to commemorate National Thread a Needle Day..and BTW, let me know how that works out for ya…yeah.

Make sure to pet your pup and, heck, why not stop by Paws for a Cause, or another treat store and take that pup a surprise on July 31st on National Mutt Day.

Driving home tonight was a visual gift, as I got the opportunity to enjoy a very spectacular sunset! No, its not the sunsets we get off the coast of Canon Beach, Oregon, but the mountains are quite amazing as a backdrop for the ending to a very nice day. Enjoy!

To all of our customers using MAR, we just made your world even better! Beginning Saturday you have the option of adding the First Database Drug Databank (try saying that three times fast…)

This service puts drug information at your fingertips. Now those side affects and drug interactions can be available to the staff at all times. HOW COOL IS THAT!???!!!!
You begin by tying in the drug name:

Then you get a list of all the variants of the medication:

Then, with just a click on the “Add” button your Medication History (and MAR) is populated and you have full access to the information about that drug!
Once on the actual MAR, you have a link to “Drug Details” where you can access all of the drug details INCLUDING A PICTURE of the pill.

There is no way not to LOVE this new feature. Once again…going above and beyond for our customers. That’s what we do at THERAP!
Call us for pricing information, or, if you are currently using the MAR send me an email and we can get the Database switched on for you.
Have FUN!!!!
Ciao ;

They are cute and adorable but apparently not the most healthy creatures to fall in love with. Surrounding the area near my home is a plethora…yes, I used the word plethora…of prairie dog burrows. Not 5, or 10, but literally dozens of burrowed tunnels that would rival any city infrastructure.

Rather than take my morning run, today I decided to capture the critters in their natural habitats. At first everything seemed calm and relaxed and then it got somewhat noisy. Soon there was a lot of barking, no, not from me…it was prairie dog barking apparently intended to either scare me off or to warn the other critters about the crazy camera toting blogger woman. Whatever the message…I was neither frightened (okay, maybe I was a bit worried about being charged by a herd of bubonic plague carrying rodents) nor did I run from the cute, lil’ furry, tail-waggin fellas, I just stood there taking pictures of the new babies and the barking man rodent perched high on his mole hill.

Enjoy the pics. I’ve yet to name my new neighbors. I’m open to suggestions.

Look close and you can see the fella making a run for home

Okay...no prairie dogs here...just wanted you to see the mountains!

Southern Oregon, Medford, to be specific, is the home of Living Opportunities. Since 1974, Living Opportunities, Inc., under the leadership of Roger Hassenflug, has been creating new life experiences for individuals with developmental disabilities-to live in the same neighborhoods, work for the same employers and have the same opportunities we all aspire to in our community.
Unique to Living Opportunities is Studio Sfumato, a project that has blended the desire of people with disabilities to connect to their community through the mutual admiration of art. It is an amazing project and has opened the door to many opportunities for people that would otherwise have never been able to express their hidden talents.
Therap welcomes Living Opportunities to our family of quality service providers!
