Phew! The updates to the Therap applications have been made and what a week it was. The designers had one very important item to offer this time - Therap’s Automated Training for CDs!
Just download the files from the Training Page, its inside a zip file [with instructions!], then write TherapTraining.iso onto a blank CD.
We packed up all the automated training we created before, polished them, and added new stuff too. This time we focused on making it a more complete tool for use in front of a class. Try playing the training modules on a projector in your next training and let us know what you think! Look below for some of the options put in to assist trainers in using this tool.

This is the screen from where you can access the training, its documentation, and other things. 'Play All' will play all the parts one after another, or clicking on a specific title will play that and continue. You can use the 'Customize Playlist' option to customize the playlist!

You can use this form to enter in Self-Enroll information you decided to use for your agency. Do this prior to starting training and when T-Girl shows Self-Enrolling, she will display this information to your class

You can customize the playlist of training modules by checking unchecking the boxes beside the items on the playlist. If you will use Self Enroll, you'd have to put the Self Enroll info first before coming to this screen

The Docs section has some documents for download - A User Guide, a collection of tips for holding a successful training on Therap, and copies of all the scripts of T-Girl's sessions

Well, so did I, someone had to take her there… she didn’t know the way.
We are right now with Allison at Oregon working on training staff at an agency there. The design guys are working everyday to put in lil improvements, little additions to make it better everyday. We had T-Girl run a class of people through creating their Therap accounts and that was cool. The coolest moment was the first time when T-Girl says “Click on Secure Login..”, and the whole class did so!

Testing will continue and the possibilities are great! Pretty soon, agencies might be able to train their own staff using our automated training … maybe we’ll put it on a CD or people could download them. Existing versions of Automated Training (which currently includes: T-Logs (for shift notes, narrative documentation, etc.), GERs (Incident reports, medication errors, etc.), Health Tracking, and SComms (Our secure mailing system which is HIPAA compliant!)) we created earlier so use to learn about Therap on your own are available here.

We were waiting in anticipation. Yes, the end of first day of conference and we were anxious to find out whose script got selected. Justin and co. came up with this cool idea that what if we translated a training script written by a user in the conference, into a full fledged animated presentation. Then have it mailed back to the US team just in time to show it off to everyone on the second day of conference. I must add, it was quite a challenge to pull it off but it was not impossible.
So there we were, waiting for Tanm to mail us the script so that we could start working on the storyboard. It wasn’t until 4 in morning when Rajiv got the script. Rajiv, started devising how the presentation could play out. We all came to office a little early for this occasion. Rajiv and I started finalizing the storyboard and planned with Tashlima how it might play out. We divided the work amongst ourselves. We set a deadline and we were on our way.
SMAsif, was given the responsibility to design Pam and her personality. With blazing fast sketches from our talented artist, we were able to help decide how we wanted Pam to look like
At the same time Rajiv and I hosted short dicussion sessions with each of our animation artists Tashlima, Ayesha and Liton. The main idea was to help visualize the scenes and how to recreate them using their trusty tools. After all the art direction it was time to find the voice that could give life to Pam. Who’d you think it was? Ok, I will give it to you. It was our Training and Implementation Specialist, Deepa. She was kind enough to lend us few minutes out of her busy schedule and record Pam’s dialogues for us.
Ah, yes! Miss celebrity herself, walks into the office. Ishita (also known as T-Girl) delivers us with all the T-Girl related dialogues that was in the script. I finally found the time to sit down and work on designs that would be used in certain animation sections. We had constant communication between each other just so we know were were working towards the right direction. We grabbed a quick lunch, I’d say the fastest ever. It was fun, the sheer challenge of it all. It was just us 6 and under 9 hours of intense creative labor. Yes, thats how long it took to finish everything up and test it. As soon as we were done with the presentation, it was time for the second day of conference and the moment of truth.
Design Team would like to thank everyone, especially Ishita and Deepa. Also, Tanm, our team leader for guiding us all the way from USA. It was nothing but 101% team effort. Thank you guys!

During the National Provider Administrator’s Conference in Fishkill, we ran a session where we asked our customers to come up with a script that introduces Therap to new staff using our animated T-Girl, and an animated Executive Director from the agency! So, Pam from North Dakota agreed to be the director to be animated and I sent the script over to the team overnight.
Within 8 hours, the guys whipped up something really tasty for everyone to see the next day. Here are some backstage passes to see what that day was like for the team:
