Therap is Hiring!

2009 has been a great year for us here at Therap, so as we look forward to 2010, we are looking to add staff to help us continue to provide exceptional support and to expand our user base around the country.
Broadly speaking we are looking for two positions:
Support Specialist
Based out of our Waterbury, Connecticut office, support specialists work with prospective, new, and existing Therap customers to set up their accounts and train their staff. This position involves a lot of travel to provide on-site training around the country (about 80% of your first two years could be spent travelling).
Skills required include providing live, web based, and telephone based training on Therap and related computer issues. To do this you will probably have been a Therap user (most of our support staff are former program managers) and have an interest in computers, the internet, social media, developmental disabilities, teaching, and travel.
You will work with states, counties, and providers from all around the country providing all sorts of services, so you need to be able to learn and adapt to new settings and organizational cultures. As you will spend so much time on the road, you need to be self motivated, independent, organized, and an exceptional communicator.
As a member of the growing Therap team, you will receive support from your Therap colleagues to help you achieve your mission of making a real difference in the developmental disability community.
Sales
Therap’s sales team is a combination of office (Connecticut) based and regional staff around the country, Therap is looking to expand in both areas. Therap’s sales team comes from a wide variety of backgrounds, including Therap users, provider staff, state staff, and experienced sales professionals.
Therap’s sales team concentrate their efforts within a territory so that they can get to know the local environment, issues, and people, however, team members are also able to explore and follow up on leads that they generate around the country.
Your goal will be to help developmental disability providers move to a more effective, efficient way of doing business that complies with the federal government mandate of moving to electronic health documentation by 2014. To do this you need to be able to explain to agencies the concepts involved in Therap and how these apply to their situation. You will also be involved in some hands on setting up and training of new customers.
If you are interested in either of these positions (or a combination of them both), please submit a resume here.
