Join Therap’s Nursing and Electronic Health Record Special Interest Group
The Nursing and EHR Special Interest Group had it’s first meeting at our National Conference. We agreed that we would meet in a webinar every other month (Deb will be posting a schedule soon).
The group has three major goals:
- To review Care Plans posted to the Global Care Plan Library and ensure the quality of that library.
- To provide feedback on Therap’s CCHIT development
- To discuss issues related to Electronic Health Records.
The group is a participatory one. Member will be expected to read articles on the SIG Page and join in discussions. Posting of information is also strongly encouraged.
As we move along, I’m hoping that members will take the lead on posting and running webinars.
We’ll also be keeping and eye on things and taking suggestions as we move along to make sure that the group is as effective as possible.
To help active members join in on the CCHIT discussion, we are offering a free beta program for SIG members who can use the Care Plan and Individual History modules for free up until their 2013 invoice. Just let me know you’d like them turn on. (be sure that you have joined the SIG and plan on being active in it).
Any questions, just let us know

Announcing Therap’s Special Interest Groups

Tomorrow morning we will be kicking off our three new Therap Special Interest Groups.
The goal of Therap Special Interest Groups (SIGs) is to provide a knowledge sharing platform for members of the developmental disabilities community, concerned with quality assurance, EHR and other issues related to electronic documentation, communication and reporting. We encourage our users to join this group and share their valuable insights regarding these issues with us and other members of the community.
This exchange of thoughts, knowledge and best practices would help us better understand the issues you face and address them accordingly.
Watch this space for much more information to come.
