More Prescribers available in Therap 8.15.4

Thanks to a bunch of conversations that we had in Fishkill, we have now dropped the restriction in Medication History that a prescriber be a Physician or a Dentist.

Your full range of shared contacts is now available.

Thanks for the input!

All Health Tracking data access to become individual based

When we introduced the MAR and First DataBank drug database, we changed the way that users accessed Medication History to be based around the individual rather than through the program and then the individual.  If you click on “New” under Medication History you will see how this works for Medication History.

In an upcoming release (scheduled for February 2nd) we will be applying this same mechanism to all of Health Tracking as you can see in the screenshots below: (Click on each one to see a bigger version)

new_form

On clicking “New” in any Health Tracking section you will be taken directly to the form where you can select the individual using auto-complete.

done_page

Similarly, from the “Done” page you will be able to go straight to your next form.

create_report

Finally, reports will now include all data about an individual, regardless of the program it was filed under.

This should make life a lot simpler for everyone and hopefully make your caseload management easier too.

Coming Soon :: eCHAT :: Electronic Comprehensive Health Assessment Tool

Here’s something else I am really excited about:

What you have here is a quick walkthrough of the new eCHAT or Electronic Comprehensive Health Assessment Tool that we have developed in conjunction with the State of New Mexico.

Not only does it provide a thorough and easy to use assessment tool, but it also calculates an overall acuity level and publishes a summary with recommendations for where care plans may be required.

Also, within the assessments are links to resources to help with supports in that area.

Take a look, let me know what you think.

When it is publicly available beyond New Mexico, it will be a premium service.  However we are looking for some beta testers.  Interested?

Creating a report with weights for multiple individuals

A while back I was asked how to create a report listing weights for multiple individuals.  I had to think about it for a while, but when I came up with a solution, I liked it so much I thought I would share!

So, here’s the answer:

If you’ve got any other questions you’d like answered, or you’d like to share some of your own solutions, please let me know

Have you tried linking your follow up appointments in Therap?

When we brought out Therap 8.12, we included a feature that we have been asked for a lot: The ability to see all the follow-up (and the previous) appointments an individual has with a doctor.

Not only will this make it easier for scheduling and documenting medical appointments, it’s also going to make it much easier to show surveyors that you completed all the required follow up for any given appointment (and actually find the proof!

Pogue's Posts - The Latest in Technology From David Pogue

Not exactly what we do, but enough parallels to make this work reading.

More therap 8.0 Goodies

A couple more things to take a quick look at in Therap 8.0:

SECURE COMMUNICATIONS

SComm by you.

As you can see, you will now be able to see how many unread messages you have within your Custom Folders. If it’s a long list, you can just collapse it by clicking on the “-”.

SEIZURE REPORTS

Seizure by you.

Following a lot of consultation with our users, we have added a bunch of new options in our seizure form. For starters there is a whole new section for “Staff Actions”.

Seizure staff by you.

We’ve also added a bunch of new options within the Seizure Description and Behavior After Seizure Screens:

Seizure desc by you.

As always, we’d love to know what you think, and to hear all your suggestions.

So much for 7.1 … what's next?

Well, funnily enough 7.2!

7.2 won’t be as big as 7.1 (7.1 actually ended up being a rather large release) and so should be available much sooner.

Here are a couple of things you may see in 7.2

Click on the images for a better view. As cool as these may look, they are just mock ups that we use in the early stages of design and development.

To see more, learn more, and give us your input, you’ll want to be at our conferences!

This consultation form is something we’ve been asked for a lot. Taking the information from an appointment, adding in pieces like medications and diagnoses and then printing them out on a nice PDF that you can take and have the doctor write on. If you want us to include things you have, be sure to send us a copy.

How about immunizations? Fill in the details here and end up with a nice report looking a bit like…

Pretty cool stuff eh!

All comments welcome!

Off to eat too much and drink too much!
