I am in Kansas again!
While I wasn’t able to click my ruby slippers to get here, the trip over yesterday.
I approached security at Bradley with some trepidation as I too was carrying a projector screen. The chap asked me what it was, “a projector screen” says I. “Cool” says he! No problem. They really are very cool, portable screens, you can see mine in the photo above.
I’m looking forward to meeting some of our Kansan customers and hopefully a bunch of new folks, before donning the slippers and heading home!

PS Allison, I hope you had fun setting up the booth in Oregon!
For once, Jim is in the right place at the right time.
One of our running jokes here at Therap is that when there is a trip that involves extremes of weather then we send Jim! This time he seems to have lucked out judging by this photo he sent me from Palm Springs, California.
He said: “Photo number 4 [shown here], is taken from in front of the Palm Springs Convention Center. Those are the San Jacinto Mountains towering above the city of Palm Springs. Yes, there really are mineral springs in Palm Springs. It is very cool that 50% of the city is within the Agua Caliente Indian Reservation, who just happen to successfully run the Spa Casino Resort in downtown Palm Springs.”
Meanwhile back at the ranch, I am discovering that Maryland too extends beyond the I95 areas as I meet with some fascinating people.

Coming to a conference near you.
Over the next month or so, there will be folks from Therap at conferences and presentations all over the country. It seems that this time of year along with late spring are prime conference season in the developmental disabilities world.
If you are going to be at one of these conference, let us know so we can look out for you. If your agency os close to one of these conferences, let us know and we’ll see if we can stop by!

Making Lemonade in Savannah, Georgia
Jim skipped town last night to head down to Savannah, Georgia to meet with some providers.
He tells me that this is where Forest Gump was filmed, but were not certain we have quite the right bench!
Alliance for Full Participation – Day 2
Day two for us, day one of the conference.
We’re all set up and people are starting to come through.
Already met a few users from around the country, even some folks who have attended my classes but I had never met in person before.
More later

Washington DC – Day One
On the way down here I discovered a great way to get over one of my phobias – asking for directions!
We have a Verizon broadband wireless card which works over the cell phone network. Not only does this mean that I could access Therap and set up DEMO accounts while travelling at 65mph down Interstate 95 (it’s OK, Jim was driving) but when we went a little astray in DC, we were able to look up Google Maps and find our way to the hotel!
The conference looks like it will be huge based on the number of exhibitors, I’ll post some pictures when they turn the lights on!

Getting Ready for the Alliance

We are frantically getting ready for the Alliance for Full Participation Conference in Washington, DC on Thursday and Friday (we go down on Wednesday to set up).
For me this has involved an awful lot of writing and printing.
As we did at the last ANCOR conference we will be running a series of classes/training sessions at our booth, so be sure to stop by and say hello or maybe even join in!
If you know anyone else who is going, send them to say hi, I love to meet people that I have only previously known over the phone or web.

Jim in Las Vegas
Jim is currently in Las Vegas attending the annual conference of the National Association of QMRPs.
He says that the fountains at the Bellagio Casino draw a huge crowd of people each night to watch the show; the water is shot 200 feet into the air.
