With the amount of travel I do around the country, it is really exciting to be holding our first Connecticut Therap Regional Conference this week.

While this is not the first conference we have held in Connecticut, (the first few National Conferences were held in Southbury) this is already the largest!

Yesterday we had a great set of discussions on all sort of topics and I’m looking forward to more today.

This is also a great time for folks in Connecticut to remember to join up with our Connecticut users group.  This has proved to be a very successful forum for Connecticut Therap users to get together and discuss their Therap processes and issues with each other.  The group is coordinated by Stan Soby at Oak Hill, so if you haven’t joined in yet, give Stan a buzz and he’ll invite you to be part of the group using Doodle to find a time to meet.

We have started to put together our list of conferences for 2011 and as you can see from the growing list, there are going to be quite a few of them.

People will often ask me which conference they should come to.  My general answer is that you have to come to Fishkill (the Annual Provider Administrator Conference) as this is not an experience that can be duplicated anywhere, and then you should also go to any local conferences near you.  Each conference offers a range of topics and opportunities.  To try and give you a sense of what will be available at each conference, we have come up with this guide.  Check it out and then start signing up.

We have just published a few updates to the schedule for the Therap National Provider Administration Conference in Fishkill, New York.

Unfortunately we have confused people a bit by having two set of dates out there for our conference.  I am very sorry for any difficulties we have caused.

Let me just confirm the following:

The conference runs from 8:00am  on Tuesday February 8th until 4:45pm on Thursday February 10th.

We will be setting up on Monday the 7th and often people arrive that afternoon/evening – we usually have some food available and get a head start on brainstorming!

Similarly, people will often stay over one the Thursday night and we would be delighted to have company for dinner and more conversations.

The folks who are attending our conference in Oregon are the first to try out our latest venture into the world of mobile computing.

We had a tremendous conference in Fargo with around 150 people from all over the state as well as from Souith Dakota coming in for three days of intensive Theraping.

A huge thank you to everyone who made the conference such a success, especially the hotel staff.  We often don’t quite know what we are walking into when we have a conference at a new location.  The Ramada Plaza and Suites in Fargo is to be highly recommended!

We had some great discussions, made some really exciting announcements.  This is going to be a very exciting year in North Dakota and we look forward to being back there a lot.

We also looking forward to building on the success of this year’s conference with another one next year (at the moment we are thinking it will be in Bismarck).
