Congratulations!

with the wonderful bride and groom
Ok, so this is about 2 weeks delayed, but that makes it all the more official. Maureen has gotten married, and what a lovely bride she made. Congrats to both her and Andrew! It was an outdoor wedding, and must have been the best day of the week, for it was in between heat waves and rain storms. Even a rainbow came out just for them.
Congratulations!
Happy Earth Day!
Happy Earth Day to All! And, how are you celebrating? Hopefully by using more Therap
But, of course there are so many other small things we can do today and all days to ensure that all those things that make life wonderful remain. Here’s just a few great resources:
Happy Birthday Renee!!

Today is TRC’s Therap Queen, Renee Moffatt’s Birthday! Woohoo! Many of you may know her from the many Therap conferences she’s attended and also for the fact that she’s on the customer blog and a certified Therap Trainer.
Therap wishes you a very happy 25th birthday! Here’s your birthday tiara!

Let's go to the movies
I’m happy to be spending some downtime with my family this weekend. Tonight we hit the movies, which happens to be in an old historic theater, so that was very neat. There’s something so nice and refreshing about small towns and uncrowded theaters, where you can still get a ticket for a reasonable price. Tomorrow it’s off to New York. See you there!
Happy Holidays!
Here’s some things to ponder over the holidays:
- According to a 1995 survey, 7 out of 10 British dogs get Christmas gifts from their doting owners.
- Christmas trees are edible. Many parts of pines, spruces, and firs can be eaten. The needles are a good source of vitamin C. Pine nuts, or pine cones, are also a good source of nutrition.
- if every family reused just two feet of holiday ribbon, the 38,000 miles of ribbon saved could tie a bow around the entire planet
- Kwanzaa is a seven day celebration of African culture begun by Dr. Maulana Karenga, a professor at California State University. Celebrated from December 26th to January 1st, Kwanzaa (which means “first fruits of the harvest”) is meant to honor African heritage and present day life in America. The holiday ends with a large feast on the final evening called Karamu
- Contrary to common belief, poinsettia plants are non-toxic.
- In Mexico, wearing red underwear on New Year’s Eve is said to bring new love in the upcoming year.
Hope you all have a safe and happy holiday!
Happy Halloween!

So, because Halloween is one of my favorite holidays (and yes, I do still dress up), I thought I’d share some creeeepy and disturbing facts both Halloween and Un-Halloween related. Have a great weekend and watch out for Trick or Treaters!
- In about 1 in 4 autopsies, a major disease is discovered that was previously undetected.
- A duck’s quack doesn’t echo, and no one knows why.
- Our eyes are always the same size from birth, but our nose and ears never stop growing.
- Studies show that if a cat falls off the seventh floor of a building it has about thirty percent less chance of surviving than a cat that falls off the twentieth floor. It supposedly takes about eight floors for the cat to realize what is occurring, relax and correct itself.
- Pumpkins also come in white, blue and green.
- One in two-thousand newborn babies are born with teeth. Napolean Bonaparte and Julius Caesar are famous examples of people born with teeth.
- Unusual deaths have plagued the cast of the Poltergeist trilogy of films including 12-year-old actress Heather O’Rourke, who died of septic shock. The theory is that the set was cursed by evil.
- Cats can hear ultrasound.
- Sharks are immune to all known diseases.
- Nessie is protected by the 1912 Protection of Animals Acts of Scotland. With good reason. Nessie has quite an economical impact: she is worth $40 million annually to Scottish tourism industry.
- The electric chair was invented by a dentist.
Back to work

So, I was back in the office yesterday after a great week of vacation, and I think I’m caught up
- at least for now. Â We were pretty lucky, as our week ended up being the meat in a hurricane/tropical storm sandwich. There was only one night of rain and thunder when we first arrived, which was probably the remnants of Hurricane Bill, and it looked like we left just before any rain arrived for Hurricane Danny.

We spotted deer in the same place when we were here 2 years ago. This time she had two fawns with her. Very strange for me to see deer on the beach

Ahh, I do miss this walk every day

Finally, we swung by PA to pick up my boy, Alex-- who's looking more and more like a muppet. He'd been visiting his grandparents for 3 weeks.
Happy Birthday Lora!

Today is my amazingly talented sister’s 18th Birthday and I wish her a great one! Â I’ll be heading to the wilderness this weekend to see her and the fam.

In other news…

It finally stopped raining… for a bit… here in CT! Yeah! Â This allowed me enough time to mow the troll hair- like grass in my back yard and do some gardening . Â Despite my dislike of all things insect, I’ve found that I love spending time digging through mud and trying to figure out which way to plant bulbs
It’ll be quite a surprise to see what pops out of the ground in the coming months.

Ok, I can't take credit for the roses-- thanks to mom and dad for getting those started years ago
I’ve also had some interesting visitors. Â I’ve yet to capture a shot of the groundhog, that I believe holds court below our deck, but he’s certainly left his mark on the tops of many of my flowers. Â Anyone know of a good natural deterrent for those guys? Â Do orange peels work for that?

This little guy likes the garden too

My parents have also had tons of visitors, including this bear, who is frequently eating the corn my dad leaves out in the yard. Not so sure the orange peels would keep him away.
