Day 2- NAPSA Conference

Today was a bit slower for the exhibit hall, as I find that most people gather all their info. and handouts on the first day.  We still had a couple people stop by to pick up magazines and DVDs, and I was happy because I was able to have enough left over to get it all in one box to ship to Jim, when he goes to Ohio for the Catholic Charities USA Gathering.  Shipping can sometimes be quite an art form– along w/ covering books w/ paperbags (see Justin’s blog).

One thing I really found to be cool was that the organizers of the conference put everyone’s state flag on their name badge, along w/ the usual basic info.  So, just being at my booth, I could get a really good feel for all the states presents and their general location, (Most were from the South).  I also had the pleasure of having a really nice neighbor at the booth next to mine.  She was there recruiting for Arizona DES , and we enjoyed a nice lunch together at the adjoining mall and got some much needed frozen yogurt.  So if anyone’s looking to move to beautiful AZ, I would definitely check out that site.  I have to say, honestly, that AZ was one of the most beautiful states I’ve visited so far (went in Feb, so not too hot then– just perfect).

Anywho, time to get some grub… fly home tomorrow, and hopefully it all goes smoothly, as all of Therapville knows my great ;) luck w/ flying…

NAPSA Conference

Well, today I’m here in sunny and warm Atlanta, Georgia for the National Adult Protective Services Assoc. Conference . This is our first time here for this conference, and it was great to see other internet, as well as software products being exhibited. It’s always a good sign when you see more companies presenting paperless solutions, as hopefully, it means that more and more people are coming to see that technology is in their future :) for the greater good of people served.

I flew in late last night, so was a bit tired for set up this morning, and just a little concerned walking through the streets of Atlanta to get to the hotel where conference is being held. As I haven’t gotten up at 5a, in a long time, didn’t realize it would still be dark out :( . The area seems nice, with shops and many interesting restaurants, and I only hope that I have time to hit the Georgia Aquarium which I hear is the largest in the country, and as most know i’m an ‘aquarium-aholic’. I’m hoping I can squeeze it in before my flight out on Friday.

That’s all for now, tomorrow’s another full day of exhibiting!
