Therap In Alaska

I hope you had a chance to see my presentation last week at the AADD meeting, I greatly enjoyed my time with everyone there.  It is exciting to see a group of folks that have some much in common and play nice together.  I assure this is not the case at every State association I have been to.  I also apologize if this message is redundant but I want to make sure everyone is aware of Therap and the work we do to support agencies just like yourselves including several members of AADD.

Therap is now across most every state in the Nation and throughout many organizations in Alaska.  It is a system that is transforming how we do business in the Developmental Disability Industry. Through the use of web-based technology, Therap has helped over 750 agencies save time, money, and resources that historically have chiseled away at the bottom line of an organization’s budget.

What can Therap users do in the system? Here are a few benefits –

    Communicate information electronically in a secure, HIPAA compliant environment,
    Track and trend data for State, County, or Agency reports,
    Bill directly to ACS for services provided in Alaska,
    Maintain data on goal progress, behavior tracking, incident management/reporting, billing, consumer finances, progress notes, and many other areas of your disability business,
    Reduce medication errors via our electronic MAR and drug database…and much more…

I would like to invite you to learn more about Therap by attending a web presentation, in which I will be demonstrating many of Therap’s capabilities. The upcoming dates to choose from are:

Tuesday, October 18th at 10:00 AM AST

Thursday, November 3rd at 2:00 PM AST

Please send me an email at kevin.dierks@therapservices.net to let me know your preference. I will forward you a link with instructions on how to join the internet presentation.

If you prefer a formal presentation at your office, let me know when would be a convenient time for us to make arrangements.  I would also be happy to arrange a personalized webinar with you and your staff.

I look forward to talking with you soon.

Therap is expanding in Alaska

As of my current calculations, I estimate just under 50% of the people with intellectual disabilities that are supported by Alaska’s Waiver for these individuals are being supported in an agency that uses Therap.  I love our ability to support quality lives….both of the people receiving services as well as those delivering those services.  Your staff should not be abused by their paperwork, they are too valuable a resource.  I was talking to someone last night who got out of the field because she did not want to be a paperwork processor it was not her passion and not why she chose this career path.

I love looking around Alaska it is so beautiful, the mountains and the ocean are a constant part of the view here, and you can drive and drive towards the mountains and you never seem to get any closer.  I do want to fully disclose so I will let you know it is cold here.  The locals say that’s what keeps it from becoming Los Angeles.

Therap is very committed to helping everyone here in the State of Alaska.  We have had Therap folks out here at different times this year.  I am looking forward to presenting at the AADD meeting and connecting with all of those great folks.  Quality is on everyone’s tongue here in Alaska and their actions are backing up those words. Very wonderful to see and be a small part of this.

Alaska – Communication Across the Frozen Tundra

In Hawaii believe it or not we have some similarities to our neighbors in Alaska, and it is not that we are both right next to each other just to the Southwest of California as most of our grade school maps and puzzles teach us as children.  :)

We both have geographic barriers to communication and movement.  In Hawaii it is the Pacific Ocean that separates us from island to island, and in Alaska is it the vast expanses, frozen tundra, and rugged mountain ranges.  They have strong winds, we have strong currents.  They have bears, we have sharks.  They have inches of snow, we have inches of rain.  They have lethal cold spells, we have…………..coconuts.  OK maybe that’s not so similar, but sometimes they do fall on people’s heads and have been known to kill.

My point is when you can’t move paper around the internet can be a business saver and even a lifesaving way to communicate vital service and support information, and keep your agency running smoothly and make sure you know what’s going on.  Just an ordinary day for Therap.  If you are snowed in and looking for something different, call me and take a look at Therap today.  We can set up an internet based presentation so you don’t even have to leave the house.  Therap goes great with coffee.

Anchorage Alaska

Great job Mr. Seward!  A bit of history, William H. Seward is the guy who negotiated the deal to buy Alaska from Russia, for $7.2 million.  I am in downtown Anchorage and loving it. It is so beautiful everywhere you turn you can see gorgeous snow capped mountain ranges.  This is a major thriving metropolis plunked down right in the middle of the real American wilderness.  Here is a picture just a few minutes out of town.

I am looking forward to meeting with several agencies while I am here.  If we are not scheduled to meet and you would like to you can find me at the AADD meeting this Thursday 10/28 where I will be presenting.

Peace.

Alaska Ho!

Aloha everyone,

I am looking forward to spending some time in Anchorage and the surrounding area at the end of this month.  I am very grateful to the folks at AADD (Alaska Association of Developmental Disabilities) for including me on their agenda.  I will be highlighting the reasons why organizations instantly benefit from using Therap.  The tools and resources built into Therap make doing business much easier at every point along the way.  Of course hundreds of agencies, including many in Alaska, already know this.

Looking forward to reconnecting with folks I have met a talked with, and meeting  new people.  I will be around Anchorage all week, if we are not already scheduled to get together give me a call.  I will be happy to stop by to learn about your unique business and service model and show you how Therap can eliminate headaches and provide you with powerful new options.

If you don’t see me, it might be because I am so bundled up in jackets trying to stay warm.  I will try to bring some Hawaii sunshine with me.  Do I really need to rent a snow machine?  or was that guy pulling my leg…?  :)
