I’m leaving today…..

As much as I enjoy the non-stop action and incredible history offered by New York I am happy to be heading home to warmer waters.

Spending time with so many awesome people that use Therap, I cannot help but be infected by their enthusiasm, passion for supporting people with disabilities, and their conviction that with Therap they will do everything better.  I cannot help but be excited by this, because I am constantly motivated by an effort to help our field do better.  This attitude comes with great respect for all those who came before, and the amazing strides services and supports for people with disabilities have taken during my 20 years in the field.  But like all the folks who use Therap, I know we can still improve.  After the intensely positive Therap conference in Fishkill, I know we are improving.  Thanks everyone for keeping me in turbo charge mode….Let’s do this!

Let me tell you why I love digging out all my winter clothes, crossing the country in the middle of winter, and heading out to Fishkill New York where temperatures are hovering around freezing.  For those customers in Hawaii and California who were not able or willing to brave the cold, I will bring all the latest back for you.  For folks in Alaska you really should get over here to warm up. 

Because it is the one chance a year where all the folks from Therap are in one room.  You should be aware that as a National company, Therap highers the best and the brightest from our field so we get to have high level discussions of what is happening in our field all over the US, and continue to target our system to make life wonderful for our customers.  Without Therap there are many, many challenges to staying in business, with Therap there is a button for that.

Once again Therap continues to not only push the envelope, but bust right out of it and make a new one.  We never stop expanding what we do because our fields never stops changing.  If you think Therap is something extra your agency you can do when you have addressed all the other basic needs, you are wrong.  Therap addresses 90% of your agencies needs all at once, just ask our customers.
