From the Southern Tier to Brooklyn

Author: Therap really is everywhere in the state on New York. The week began in the southern tier meeting with an OMRDD agency in lovley Watkins Glenn.
From there we made our way down south into Brooklyn to meet with a perspective provider there. The point being that no matter where you are in the state of New York, we are all facing the same documentation challenges. Weather it be a looming OMIG audit or simply trying to streamline your process,s we feel like we can help. Next week Ill be back on I90 (my favorite road). Have a great weekend.

FMA 2010
Today Richard and I attended day 1 of the 2010 FMA conference in Cooperstown NY. The weather could not have been more beautiful, hopefully it will last all week. This afternoon I went to a very interesting session with David Picker from OMRDD who laid out some information regarding OMIG audits.
1 On 10/1/2010 OMRDD will no longer be doing medicaid billing and claiming reviews.
2 OMIG will be doing all billing and claiming audits after 10/1
3 Under OMIG there will no longer be a audit cycle that agency are familiar with.
On Thursday I will be attending a session with representatives from OMIG. I will post any updates I get tomorrow.
