Can’t wait to go back!!

My time in Oregan has been spent with SOCP and working closely with Elaine whose vision to get Therap up and running has been long in coming and she is Psyched that it has Finally come to fruition! Elaine is a great person.. sincere, genuine, kind, dedicated, and downright funny. Here is a picture of Elaine with her Amazingly long ethernet cable:

Incredibly enough Elaine actually carries this cord around with her wherever her job takes her. In my estimate the cord must weigh 2.5 pounds. I asked Elaine if she knew how long the cord was and she said if I really wanted to know then I should just measure the width of the room because that’s how long it is. So I went ahead and measured the room and just in case you are curious as well, it is 65 feet long. Here is a closeup of Elaine’s 2.5 lb, 65 foot long enthernet cord so you can get a better look:

The cord is so long her colleagues thought she may cause serious harm to passerby’s so they coiled it up like one of those chain links. The IT dept saw her with it last Tuesday and they have agreed to provider her with a shorter cord, Yah! But I have a feeling she will continue to have this one as a back up because, to quote Elaine: ” You never know how far away you’ll be from an internet connection!”.
