Therap Services is an online software service that provides secure, HIPAA compliant documentation, reporting and communication for developmental disability provider agencies. The suite is made of programs that cover extensively supports provided to individuals as well as programs that help an agency manage employee training/certifications and schedules, and also billing.
Therap also provides extensive support in setting up and handling the transition to electronic documentation, and has lots of great online tools for training staff to use Therap.
There will be a New Jersey Therap Users Meeting at Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat. They’ve generously offered to host the meeting, at 700 Mountain Avenue Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
The meeting is intended to focus on issues or concerns of interest to New Jersey Therap users. The general meeting will will start at about 10:00 am with refreshments, followed by a session reviewing recent upgrades, and then discussing future plans. The afternoon session will be open to topics suggested by participants as well as a Q & A session.

The General Event Reports (GERs) also known as the Incident Reports have been designed to track multiple related incidents for an individual. Using the General Event Reporting tool, users can report and follow-up on a wide range of incidents including injuries, behavioral concerns and accidents among others.
The GER also lets users track the comments of witnesses for each event. By simply entering the names of witnesses in a GER, users will get links to witness reports which will let them review detailed comments on what was witnessed during an incident. Learn More
The GERs for New Jersey includes the Initial Incident Report and the Follow-up Report required by NJ Division of Development Disabilities.

Therap National Provider Administrator Conference
February 7-9, 2012, Ramada East Hanover, New Jersey
We are thrilled to announce our next National Provider Administrator Conference for all our existing and prospective users. Register before December 31, 2011 to get the Early Bird Discount. It will be a great opportunity to find out how Therap addresses the documentation needs of providers of care and support for persons with developmental disabilities, how some states offices and departments are collaborating to oversee and coordinate DD agencies within their state, and also to network with agencies in the field from all across the country.
