Enhance the Level of Care and Safety

The Individualized Plan of Protective Oversight and Safeguards (IPOP) module is designed to enhance the level of care and safety by effectively documenting procedures and guidelines for individuals and recording an individual’s detailed protection and safety requirements for different programs. In New York, PCSS (Plan of Care Support Services) requires the IPOP as an attachment for consumers who live in an IRA (Individualized Residential Alternative).

Divided into six categories, Therap IPOP takes a questionnaire-based approach to record and update the diverse documentation needs. As an authorized user, you will be able to access these sections from the IPOP area on your FirstPage.

General Information
Stores information on communication abilities, health care needs, list of adaptive equipment and their usage, nutrition and diet requirements, level of dental care necessary, behavioral needs and information on individual rights.
Residential Information
Records an individual’s information on emergency evacuation skills, personal hygiene, money management skills and daily living skills among others. For example, a user can provide detailed information on an individual’s emergency evacuation skills by tracking information such as the individual’s ability to recognize an alarm and the level of required assistance during an emergency. You can also track an individual's ability to select clothing, , dress themselves, do their laundry and utilize appliances.
Day Program Safeguards
Records supervision information regarding community outings, adaptive equipment required and emergency evacuation skills among other areas.
Supported Employment Safeguards
Records information about the employer, traveling and transportation needs, employer specific safeguards and specialized training requirements.
Work Center Safeguards
Records supervision comments regarding an individual's work center safeguards, transportation details, consumer specific safeguards, adaptive equipment needs and physical limitations.
Individualized Services
Records details on individualized services including supervision in the home, in the community, during transportation as well as adaptive equipment used during services.

To learn more about the IPOP module, please visit www.TherapServices.net and download the IPOP Walkabout. This interactive training tool will take you step by step through the process involved in attaching general/residential information and safeguards such as Day Program, Supported Employment, Work Center and Individualized Services safeguards to ISPs.

Application Focus
T-Tasks

The newly released T-Task module functions as a quick and simple to-do list for users to track day to day tasks. The module lets users schedule and track upcoming events and tasks easily and effectively.

While adding a new task, users are able to mention due date and time, priority of that task and even the program to which the task belongs.

Users are also able to view details such as who entered a task and when. Users are also able to edit and delete tasks as needed. They may also share their task list with others users of the system within the same program.

  Training Games

Therap training games are yet another example of Therap’s constant effort to come up with new and more effective training materials for the users. Still on the drawing board, these interactive E-Quizzes don’t just ask you a set of questions and give you the answers, they also let you get practical experience using different application features. To find the answers to questions asked, you will be prompted to log onto a Therap demonstration account and complete a set of tasks.

Trial versions of E-Quizzes on Therap’s Individual Support modules, Individual Service Plans and General Event Reports have been posted online. Feel free to try these out and share your suggestions in our Support Forum.

Therap Regional Conferences

Throughout the year, Therap arranges a number of conferences to interact with its users. These events involve professionals using Therap with an opportunity to improve their skills as well as work with the Therap team in enhancing the system to better suit their needs.

National events, such as the Provider Administrator conference and the DSP conferences, have been very well received by our users. With professionals attending from all over the United States, these conferences provided a unique opportunity to learn and share experiences.

With an aim to achieve similar success at regional levels, Therap has decided to arrange a number of regional conferences in 2008.
