Welcome to Therap’s first newsletter.

This newsletter and future editions will keep you up to date with news about improvements and additions to the Therap Services suite of applications.

We are very excited as we move into 2005 with a growing list of providers signing up to use our services and exciting new releases on the horizon.

Along with the new and enhanced applications will be a wide range of training materials and methods to help our users make the transition to using Therap as easy as possible.

We now have available training in written formats that can be viewed on your computer or printed out.

We also have a number of animated “walk-thoughs” that will guide you though parts of our system.

The most exciting addition to our training program is our web based training program. This will allow you to see the system in action and interact with your trainer in real time. Be sure to check out our Training Calendar at www.therapservices.net/events.php.

Remember that all of Therap’s applications are HIPAA compliant and are run from our secure servers so your data will be safe and made available to only those people you choose.

Also, being web based, there is never any software to install or upgrade, all you need is internet access and a web browser such as Internet Explorer.

Therap Welcomes Justin Brockie as Director of Customer Support

Therap Services, LLC is delighted to announce the appointment of Justin M. Brockie as the Director of Customer Support.

Justin comes to Therap from Community Systems, Inc. of Torrington, Connecticut where he was a Program Director managing supports for people with disabilities in residential settings.

Justin has been a Therap User for the past 18 months and so brings with him a knowledge of the system from the provider view point. Justin will be based in our Waterbury, Connecticut office and will be available to help existing and potential customers with the setting up the Therap system and with any questions they may have.

Justin will also be responsible for providing training on each of the Therap applications.

Please join us in welcoming Justin to the Therap Services team, we’re sure that you will enjoy working with him as much as he is already enjoying working for Therap!

Secure Communications: The answer to HIPAA compliant electronic communication.

According to HIPAA regulations, messages about people supported should not be sent by regular email. With Secure Communications (Scomm) you can send messages to any one or group of your staff that have a Therap login account.

You can even attach Therap Reports such as Incident Reports or Medication Error Reports.

Messages can be sorted and filtered in a number of ways making this a safe, secure, and virus free method of sharing information in your agency.

It’s there to be used, why not give it a try?

Tip of The Day
Did you know that you can use the Event Summary to look for and analyze information across program and from different applications?
To access the event summary, select Management Summaries on the main Therap Menu and then Event Summary on the next menu. Choose the information you would like to see and click the Search button. On the Search Result Screen you can click a cell and then click Show Details to see the actual reports that were counted.

Therap offers on-line training

Therap Services Support and Training is delighted to offer a series of classes on each of the Therap applications.

These classes will be interactive and dynamic making use of the latest in web and telephone based technologies.

For more information and to sign up for a class, visit www.therapservices.net/events.php You will then be sent instructions with a website to log into and a phone number to call at the time of the class.
