Therap National Provider Administrator Conference takes place this February
Therap is hosting the National Provider Administrator Conference in Fishkill, New York, from February 3rd to 5th, 2009. As the conference days near, Therap is planning on many useful and effective discussion sessions with Provider Administrators from all over United States. Apart from sessions on specific modules, there will also be panel discussions on topics like: Setting Up and Implementing Therap, Working with Families, and Working with States and Counties, among others. One of the unique features of this conference is participants will have the chance to meet Therap’s Chief Technology Officer, Mojahedul Hoque Abul Hasanat, for the first time.
In-depth understanding of customer needs and the building of applications that exceed expectations have been two of the key factors in Therap’s success; however as the company moves forward, it is even more important to continue a meaningful dialogue with the agencies who have made the transition from paper to electronic record keeping. Apart from sessions seeking new ideas and features, the conference will also focus on detailed discussions on usability, support, and training areas.  Participants will also have the opportunity to learn many new tips and tricks from more advanced and experienced Provider Administrators across United States, as well as have face to face discussions with Therap team members.
Therap conferences provide a great networking opportunity for Provider Administrators as they will meet people from all across the country, providing a diverse range of services. Participants will also have the opportunity to attend Video Game Night, a session on Training Games, and Dinner Trip to New York City. And for those who are eager to know what’s more to come, there is also session on Therap in the Future. The session will showcase some of the new designs that Therap’s team has been working on, as well as offer feedback and discussion to help build an even richer user experience.
If you are a Provider Administrator, try not to miss this conference. Your presence will help us not only design better applications but also build a better community.

Generating Billing Data using ISP Data
One of the recent enhancements to Therap applications has been the link between the Billing and Individual Service Plan (ISP) modules. This feature allows users to track/enter information on services given to an individual using the ISP. Later the tracked data can be used to generate Billing Data.
To get this process started, the user needs to create an ISP Program first. While making the ISP Program, three major things to consider are:
  • Data Collection Method is 'Non-Grid'.
  • Time In/Out is 'Required' for Data Collection.
  • The value given in 'Maximum Number of Times per Day' will allow that many times data to be collected for each day for Billing.
Once the ISP Program is created, data can be collected for it. Using the ISP Data section, users can start collecting information that will be needed for Billing. But to create the link between the created ISP Program and Billing application, the user also needs to set up the Service Authorization accordingly. Therap has a detailed and easy to use Quick Guide on setting up Service Authorizations and how to generate Billing Data from ISP Data, available at Support Knowledgebase.
This feature can provide combined benefits of both ISP and Billing module. For example: when service is provided, detailed information on tracking progress, duration, methods, goals, tasks and other such information is documented. When this information is automatically linked to Billing, agencies can find collective information on both billing and the details on the service that were billed. Another hidden benefit of this feature is, as users are able to enter multiple entries for a day using ISP Data (depending on how the ISP Program was constructed), they are also able to generate Billing Data for multiple slots for each day. Additional benefits of not having to duplicate the same information across multiple modules can further help agencies improve efficiency and quality of care.
5 Tips to help you write an effective feedback
Therap's Customer Support Team values the growing number of feedback they have been receiving on the applications over the years. However, to ensure the users get a more helpful solution, we came up with some basic tips that can help users make the most out of their feedback.
Here are a few things that can help anyone send a more effective feedback to Therap Customer Support. By spending a few extra minutes on making sure of the following things, one can receive a more helpful and precise response to an issue.
  • Whenever possible, use the <<Feedback>> link available at the bottom of the page on which you have issues or suggestions. Even if you are typing in specific details on the issue, sending feedback using the <<Feedback>> link from the actual page helps us understand crucial information needed for reproducing the issue.
  • Always try to name the exact application you are referring to. For example, ISP Plan, ISP Program, ISP Data, and ISP Template are 4 different parts of the system. Instead of mentioning only ISP, you may want to be more specific.
  • If you receive an error, please try to mention the exact Error Message that you got.
  • We have a Form ID for every form created in the application. If you have been facing issues in multiple forms, and want to refer to any specific forms, the best way to do this is to mention the Form ID of the given T-Log or GER, for example. You can get this unique ID on the top of every form that you work with. If you need to mention the name of the individual (or any other PHI related data), please make sure you send us the feedback using Secure Communications (SComm). When specifying a program name, also try to make sure you provide enough detail so that it can be identified uniquely.
  • Make sure you have your valid email address entered in your 'My Profile' section. When you send a feedback with a valid email address, the response will get to you quicker. Responses are often sent indirectly to an agency’s Provider Administrator due to incorrect email addresses and this will take longer to reach you than a direct response.
