Updates in Release 7.2
The first major release of 2008, Therap 7.2, features a number of upgrades to several Therap modules that will substantially increase the efficiency of the application. These include:
Health Tracking Updates
An Immunization Form has been added to the Health Tracking (HT) module for tracking vaccination records of an agency’s individuals. In addition to keeping past and ongoing vaccination records, the form will also allow the scheduling of future vaccinations. Also, a Consultation Form has been added to the HT Appointments section that can be printed out before taking an individual to a doctor's visit. All Health Tracking forms and reports now support the Export to PDF option which makes them more printer-friendly. Other updates to HT include the addition of the ‘Elixir’ form to Medication History and additional columns on new Quarterly nursing reports.
Individual Data Form Updates
The forms are now available on PDF format which are easily printable.
Billing Updates
With 7.2, Florida users can create both Electronic and Manual claims. Also, they will be able to generate Division of Vocational Rehabilitation PDFs from each claim form. Additional enhancements include the option to change Billing Provider in Billable/Denied claims, multiple Custom PDF claim Invoices, inclusion of NPI number on the Billing Provider List and claim forms, addition of new fields for Cost Centers and new search fields for Billing Summary Reports among others.
General Event Report Updates
The 7.2 GER supports the Reportable Event form for the Maine Department of Health and Human Services. Also, the Emergency Medical/Behavior Intervention Strategies Record (EMBIS) form for restraint events has been added to GER for Delaware users. Other enhancements to the module include the option for Provider Administrators to restrict access to Abuse/Neglect event reports by enabling/disabling Abuse/Neglect flags in user profiles. There is also the addition of a new date field in the Medication Error section to accommodate cases where the initial error and error discovery are on different days.
In addition to the updates mentioned above, enhancements have been made to Individual Service Plans, Staff Scheduling, Management Summaries and Supported Employment modules to increase efficiency. Moreover, upgrades have been made to the Support Knowledgebase and the Live Help options to improve users’ customer support experience.
Log on to your Therap account and try out the new features. Keep sending us your feedback so that we can continue to improve our services to better suit your needs.

Abuse and Neglect GER
In Therap’s 7.2 release, Provider Administrators have been given the option to restrict access to General Event Reports (GERs) that note Abuse or Neglect. These reports will be viewed only by selected users by enabling and disabling an Abuse/Neglect flag in their User Profile. Given the sensitive nature of these reports, this feature has been designed to better protect privacy of the affected individuals as well as the allegedly responsible staff members.
Provider Administrators can set the 'Has Access to Abuse/Neglect GER' flag for each user in addition to assigning them their regular GER roles. Users can set notifications separately for both Abuse and Neglect GERs from the ‘My Account’ section on their FirstPage.

Therap Usability Garage
The Therap Usability Garage has been created to serve as a platform for generating brand new ideas for possible future products and enhancements as well as to increase users’ direct involvement in the product planning process. Here, customers will find the designs and ideas discussed in the previous Direct Support Professional and Provider Administrator conferences.
In the garage, sketches and screenshots illustrating possible enhancements has been made available along with text based guides with a full description of the features. Users will also have access to interactive demo versions of ideas on the drawing board which will help them to visualize the actual module. The discussion link under each topic will lead them to the Customer Support Forum where they will be able to join in brainstorming sessions.
Comments and suggestions accumulated through the Usability Garage will be immensely helpful to Therap’s development teams which are continuously trying to come up with simpler and more effective applications. |

Therap Regional Conferences
Throughout the year, Therap arranges a number of conferences to interact with its users. These events offer professionals using Therap with an opportunity to improve their skills as well as work with the Therap team in enhancing the system to better suit their needs.
National events, such as the Provider Administrator conference and the DSP conferences, have been very well received by our users. With professionals attending from all over the United States, these conferences provided a unique opportunity to learn and share experiences.
With an aim to achieve similar success at regional levels, Therap has decided to arrange a number of regional conferences in 2008.
