Snow Day in Washington Square Park in New York
Kevin recently posted a picture showing his view from his house in Hawaii. That really gives a sense of the breadth of locations where Therap team members live and have knowledge of.
This picture was taken across the street at Washington Square Park in New York City today. It was a little more challenging checking emails on my droid through the snowfall – but I was able to stay in touch while having snowball fights with the kids.
I still don’t think they one ever needs a snow day in New York City – but that is based on being able to walk or take a subway everywhere.

New York Thanksgiving Parade
Yesterday I went to the New York Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade with my daughters. We had been invited to some friends apartment overlooking the route – but I prefer being in the crowd with the big balloons right above us. A few observations and pictures of what the parade looks like with streetlights and people partially blocking the view.
Basically – we arrived at the parade at 6:45am for a 9am start – and I found out that the city had blocked off half of the route along Central Park West for bleachers instead of open seating. First I was thinking that they should have mentioned this in some of the newspapers articles – and then I was thinking that perhaps I should have looked at Twitter or something. From a notification perspective – I am still not sure what they should have done – but perhaps 10,000 people or more were forced to a different location from their original location – with no notification and with security staff giving conflicting information.
We arrived home about 11am after walking home from the parade- and there was still 1 hour left of the parade. Watching the parade on NBC and in person is like having 2 completely different experiences. Mitchell Musso sang on TV and just waved on 72nd street. And many of the singers and dancers performing on 34th street weren’t even in the parade.
It got me thinking about all of the documentation requirements for various state auditors and reviewers – and the need for accurate documentation by providers. I thought how most people watching the parade on TV may have no idea what is really going on for people watching the parade. That probably doesn’t matter to most people unless they are planning to attend the parade and then find out its not what it was advertised as. I was thinking how how Therap allows documentation to occur as close the time and staff involved as possible. Its just more accurate that way.

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving.
