Therap will be hosting a conference on May15-16, 2012 in Elmira, Chemung County, NY for agencies serving people with Developmental Disabilities and interacting with OPWDD and OMIG. This will be held in the Finger Lakes DDSO but will be appropriate for people from various DDSO’s.

A reminder that Therap has a conference in Cortland, NY coming in November 2012 and also our National Conference in East Hanover, NJ which is in the New York metro area.   We also will be having a conference in Buffalo, NY in August 2012.  The location of an expected November 2012 New York conference will be announced later.

The Elmira conference will be at the Elmira Riverview Holiday Inn.

We are in the final stages of signing the contract for a hotel. But hold the date for Therap’s  National Provider Administration Conference February 7-9, 2012.

The basic structure of the conference is expected to be the same as the 2011 conference with over 14 simultaneous sessions over 3 days. There will be opportunities to brainstorm with Therap users from around the country as well as Therap programmers and team members. More details will be provided over the coming months.  We will be posting a call for presentations soon.

The conference will be held at a different hotel this year. It will still be in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area. We have tried to find a hotel closer to Newark airport so people can more easily take direct, lower cost flights from different parts of the country.

Therap will be hosting a Regional Conference/WV user group meeting at the Flatwoods Days Hotel and Conference Center in Sutton, WV.

This was requested by and is primarily designed for providers and agencies in West Virginia.

This will be a 2 room conference.

It is designed to focus on West Virginia issues and concerns.  There will be a track on general Therap applications as well.

Agencies which have questions can contact Ken Slavin who will be coordinating the conference agenda.

Therap will again be holding a Regional Conference at the Holiday Inn in Helena, Montana from June 13-14, 2011.

We anticipate participation from members of the  Disability Services Division of the Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services.

This conference will have sessions with a significant focus on Montana issues and policies.

This is one of the few (and perhaps the only)  Therap conferences actually in walking central business district of a city.
