Providers’ Impact on Preventive Health Care
The following session has been added to the 2011 National Provider Administration Conference in Fishkill. Providers' Impact on Preventive Health Care---You Can Make a Difference! Renee Pietrangelo, ANCOR and Larry Weishaar, ResCare ANCOR has made a focused commitment to addressing and improving preventive health care for people with disabilities. To that end we have partnered with the American Health Care Association, United Cerebral Palsy, the American Association of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry and the Developmental Disabilities Nurses Association to work toward effective education and outcomes measures that can reduce the occurence of communicable diseases; obesity; diabetes; hypertenstion and other heart conditions; and dental disease. There are numerous incentives built into the newly enacted Affordable Care Act to improve health outcomes and nutrition, and reduce the number of hospitalizations and reliance on medications through effective preventive measures. Join us for a dialogue on how you can directly impact better health outcomes for the people with disabilities you serve.
