In National Harbor for Alliance for Full Participation Conference

I am currently in National Harbor, Maryland for the Alliance of Full Participation Conference.   The name of the town is National Harbor even though it sounds like it should be the name of the waterway.

I have been thinking how far Therap has evolved in the years since the first Alliance for Full Participation Conference. I attended that conference with Warren as basically any conferences we attended were some combination including Warren and me. Now we have a team of experienced development disabilities industry people who not only know the industry but their location regions as well.

If you are attending the Alliance for Full Participation Conference stop by and see our new booth.

Therap Regional Conference Dover, Delaware April 25-26, 2011

Therap will be hosting a regional conference on April 25-26, 2011 at the Sheraton Dover, Delaware hotel.

There will be general sessions about Therap modules. There will also be sessions geared to Delaware agencies working with the Division of Developmental Disability Services.

Depending on discussions with providers in other local states including Maryland (and in particular the Eastern Shore)  we may add some sessions on topics for other states.

We are also hosting a July Therap Regional Conference in Maryland at the Holiday Inn at BWI Airport in July.

Therap Regional Conference Maryland, DC, Northern Virginia – July 25-26, 2011

Therap will be holding a Regional Conference at the Holiday Inn BWI Airport on July 25-26, 2011.

This will include extra sessions related to Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia topics. A draft schedule will be posted in 2011.

College of Direct Support will have training sessions and tracks at this conference.

The regional conferences are designed to supplement our national provider administrator conference coming up in Fishkill, NY February 8-10, 2011.

Regional conferences are a good opportunity to talk specifically with other users in a smaller geographic region. There generally are how-to and intermediate sessions on most modules. There are significant more sessions to choose from at the national conference.

There will not be opportunities to speak with programmers at this regional conference.

We are trying to be more clear on what to expect at the regional conferences. We will be posting a chart comparing the different conferences.
