First Month at Therap Services Inc.

Greetings all!

I write this as my one-month anniversary at Therap Services approaches…being the sentimental person I am, I of course have been reflecting on this significant change in my life and the stand out moments so far.

My first weeks have been spent in Western New York and in my current home state – Maine. I’ve found myself feeling a strong sense of gratitude for the warm welcomes and learning opportunities from my team mates and the providers I have met. As a newbie Therapite, what strikes me most is the positive reactions we receive when presenting Therap Services to new users; “Awesome”, “I can’t wait til we go live, it’ll be so much better!”, “Using Therap will save us so much time”.  And most especially, when seasoned staff come into the training class stating – “I know nothing about computers” with a look of trepidation on their face, only to have those staff share at the end of the class – “I know now that I can do this and it will benefit my work”.  That statement sums up why we are so excited about the system we are sharing with you – our customers in the field.

We at Therap are gearing up for a busy season ahead, full of visiting providers and hosting conferences all across the US. Our customer support team continues to grow as we meet the needs of the providers. In the weeks ahead I look forward to returning to Western New York, meeting more providers out in the field and will strive to elicit a positive response from those new users (staff) we support!

Developmental Disability Waiver Slot Management with Therap

Therap’s system for States and County offices for developmental disability services provides administrators with the option to create waivers and then define multiple slots for those waivers, which can be assigned to eligible individuals.

Central Office Staff, Program Administrator and Program Managers are able to request waiver slots for particular individuals, by completing standard question checklists and specifying services to be covered by the slot.  Users can place slot requests on the waiting list.

Once a slot request has been approved, waiver slots can also be transferred from one waiver to another as needed.

The application provides users with the additional option to view detailed Slot information of all the Waivers in their Region.
