electronic documentation.\r\n            However, countless organizations have yet to make the change \u2013 is it worth the effort? For Mainstay Life\r\n            Services, a non&#8209;profit service provider in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the answer is a resounding yes.\r\n        <\/p>\r\n\r\n        <p>\r\n            Mainstay Life Services supports over 300 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities\r\n            through a range of services, including residential supports, life sharing, employment and therapy services,\r\n            and behavioral supports. In 2017, Mainstay decided to transition from traditional paper documentation to\r\n            Therap\u2019s electronic documentation system. The shift to a digital documentation system was particularly daunting for staff less\r\n                comfortable with technology. \u201c[There was] a lot of hesitation\u2026 people weren't comfortable using\r\n                computers,\u201d Chestnut recalls. However, Mainstay persevered, recognizing the long&#8209;term benefits of\r\n                an\r\n                electronic documentation system. Through consistent effort and training, staff embraced the new\r\n                platform. \u201cNow that most of the paper is gone, people know how to manage [electronic documentation]\r\n                better,\u201d Chestnut states.\r\n            <\/p>\r\n\r\n            <div class=\"clear-both\"><\/div>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n\r\n        <p>\r\n            Mainstay staff value the instant access to information Therap provides. \"Our DSPs appreciate the fact that\r\n            when they go on medical appointments [with people they support], they can pull up information right there at\r\n            the touch of a button,\u201d Chestnut says. \"You no longer have to carry that big binder wherever you go.\" With\r\n            Therap\u2019s mobile app, staff can enter data on the go, eliminating the risk of lost paperwork or forgotten\r\n            details. \"It's nice having the mobile app where you can enter information right there on the spot,\"\r\n            emphasizes Chestnut.\r\n        <\/p>\r\n        <p>\r\n            The data collected through Therap has been instrumental in helping Mainstay make informed decisions. \"The\r\n            most valuable thing that [Therap] has offered is\u2026 all the data that we're collecting \u2013 we\u2019re able to use in\r\n            so many ways,\u201d says Chestnut. \u201cWe're a very data&#8209;driven organization.\" With the ability to track\r\n            organization&#8209;wide trends, monitor individuals\u2019 progress, and identify trends over time, Mainstay has\r\n            been\r\n            able to ensure compliance with regulations and quality supports for the people they support.\r\n        <\/p>\r\n        <p>\r\n            In addition to the basic modules of the system, Mainstay also benefits from Therap\u2019s innovative new\r\n            features, including \u201cAbout Me\u201d video attachments. \u201cWe did a pilot with a few people that are supported. They\r\n            recorded a video of things that they like to do and things that they don't like to do,\u201d explains Chestnut.\r\n            \u201cThe people that were recording their own videos loved that idea\u2026 That's the benefit of it, it's not from\r\n            someone else's point of view.
