This weekend was marked with an unbelievable weather event throughout Missouri, but none worse than the devastation that took place in Joplin, MO.  The killer tornado just wrecked the community of 50,000 people.  As of this morning 89 people have lost their lives to this twister that ripped through the area. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Joplin, MO

Amidst all the devastation in Joplin,  Community Support Services of Missouri the first agency to use Therap in Missouri, was most definitely affected by the storm.  Several consumers were injured in the event and the destruction was massive.  Jan Hurn is the Executive Director of the agency and though his house was sparred his son’s home was destroyed.  It is difficult for any of us to understand what the people of Joplin are going through today. In some cases still trying to find items that may never be found.   I hope you will join me in remembering these people of Joplin today and in the coming days as they seek to try and put life back together.  I will let all of you know more as I know more.
