Only Two Weeks Remaining for the Regional Conference in Columbus, Ohio

We are only two weeks away for the Regional Conference in Columbus, Ohio on August 5-6, 2019. This two-day event will be full of sessions by Ohio Therap experts and will give you a chance to network with your counterparts from across the state.

The event will be a good place to learn about recent developments in the Therap system, as well as individual support documentation and reporting, electronic health records (EHR) and training management from the technology leader in the developmental disabilities field. Missouri Therap Community: SEMO Area User Group

Missouri Therap Community: KC Area User Group Meeting

Know the presenters:

Stacy Wilson is a Business Development Consultant at Therap. Stacy has worked as a Direct Support Professional in the field related to Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). Other than that, she has been the Program Coordinator and later on worked as an Assistant Director at an adult day care center.

Bonnie Sorrells is currently working as a Training & Implementation Specialist at Therap Services. Prior to joining Therap Bonnie has been the Director of Adult Services and HIPAA Coordinator for 15 years. During that time she received training on HIPAA, behavioral planning, case management, medication management, and supported employment. Bonnie has also worked as a Therap administrator.

Caiti Woodburn joined Therap Services back in 2017. She began working in the DD industry in 2008 as a Cabin Staff member at Wonderland Camp in Rocky Mount, MO. Caiti gained experience as a user and provider administrator of the Therap system at Community Choice Inc. in Kansas City until making the switch to Therap.

Jeremy Gibson joined Therap in 2018 as a Training Specialist. He began his career in the DD field in 2011 as a direct care employee with Community Support Services of Missouri in Joplin, MO. He also worked in a QA role and assisted with ensuring health and safety standards were met for CARF accreditation until coming to Therap in July 2018.

Catherine Hauser has joined Therap Services in 2017. Her experience in the developmental disabilities field began in 2005 in Illinois when she became a Direct Support Person. Currently, she is a Training & Implementation Specialist here at Therap Services.

Did you know?

Illinois provider agencies currently use Therap to meet various documentation needs, including demographics, person-centered individual support plans, care plans and more. Therap’s Billing applications include the ability to collect the necessary information required for submitting billing to the ROCS system such as Funding Source and Service Description code. The ROCS Billing option allows providers to download ROCS’ Fee- for- Service Claim Files, generated on Therap, and Import these FFS Claims directly via FTP Upload to the Illinois Department of Human Services Community Reporting System (DHSCRS).

Only 2 weeks left for the State Conference in Oacoma, South Dakota!

Only 2 weeks left for the upcoming State Conference in Oacoma, South Dakota on February 20-21, 2019. The conference will be held for two full days of sessions lead by Therap experts. This is a great opportunity to network with your counterparts from across the state.

Therap is working with the South Dakota Division of Developmental Disabilities to provide Data Collection, Plan Sharing, Case Management Billing, and Critical Incident Reporting. South Dakota has implemented Critical Incident Report (CIR), Service Support Section of ISP Plan, Case Note Billing, Quarterly Monitoring Report and many more. Providers in South Dakota cannot bill for current month’s services unless the person has been discharged. Newly admitted individuals will need to be assigned to a Case Manager, enrolled in a program and have a Service Authorization in place.

The conference will be a good place to learn about new developments in the Therap system, along with individual support documentation and reporting, electronic health records (EHR) and training management from the technology leader in the developmental disabilities field. There will be beginner, intermediate and advanced level sessions.

About the Presenters:

Justin M. Brockie is a Chief Operating Officer at Therap. Justin has worked directly with state and county governments and large multi-state providers. He has led Therap’s development, technical, customer support and training teams in devising new, innovative solutions to issues confronted by human service professionals.

Jeff Mau is a Business Development Consultant at Therap. Jeff became familiar with Therap platform when he took on the role of Regional Therap Coordinator for Mosaic, a national service platform. He primarily works with agencies in Iowa, Minnesota, and Nebraska.

Leah Sewell is a Senior State Implementation Specialist at Therap. Prior to joining Therap, Leah used Therap system for documentation of supports in Southern Maine. She currently provides online training and support to providers involved in the statewide implementation of Therap.

Jeff Covington is a Deputy Director of State Implementation at Therap. Jeff has extensive experience in project management and leading a diverse team to successful outcomes. His role is to oversee the implementation of Therap for States.

Michelle Saunders who is a Business Development Consultant joined Therap Services in 2012. Michelle has worked in the non-profit sector with agencies supporting persons with I/DD and MH diagnoses since 1995, starting as a direct care staff and then as a case manager in Central Pennsylvania. Michelle relocated to Missouri in 2005 and worked as a consultant for an organization in Columbia, Missouri.

Heather Thornton is a Billing Specialist here at Therap. She has worked in the ID/DD field for over 4 years in various capacities. With her previous agency, Heather helped to implement Therap from T-logs to Billing. Heather is from Oklahoma and she moved to Colorado approximately 5 years ago.

Catherine Hauser is a Training & Implementation Specialist who joined Therap Services in 2017. Her experience in the developmental disabilities field began in 2005 in Illinois when she became a Direct Support Person. Previously she was serving as a chairperson to the Human Rights Committee, Psychotropic Review Committee and Behavior Management Committee and provided training as a DSP Course Coordinator.

State Conferences in Nebraska are Coming Your Way

Therap team is coming to  Nebraska for a state conference. We have scheduled to host one of our state conferences in Lincoln, Nebraska on November 27, 2018, at The Lincoln Marriott Airport Cornhusker Hotel and the other in Kearney, Nebraska which is going to take place on November 29, 2018, at Younes Conference Center.

Leah Sewel who is a Senior State Implementation Specialist, worked with Therap Services since 2012, starting out in a training role. Leah has worked in the Human Services field since 1999, providing comprehensive services to individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnosis.

Tracy Linko who is a State Implementation Specialist, joined the Therap Services Team as a Billing Specialist in 2016. She assisted her previous agency in implementing Therap and was the Therap subject matter expert in addition to her duties as Finance Manager.

Calvin Christensen who is a Business Development Consultant in Therap joined Therap Services in 2014 and began working in the mental health and developmental disabilities field in 2010. Calvin worked for an agency in Nebraska who provided services to adults who were considered high risk.
