Therap-Uvanta Pharmacy Event

Join our upcoming Therap-Uvanta Pharmacy Event. Therap and Uvanta Pharmacy will host a one-day event on May 8th, 2019 from 10 am-1 pm (CDT) at Des Plaines, Illinois. Michelle and Catherine from Therap Services will host this event. This is a free event and lunch will be provided!

About the presenters:

Michelle Saunders is a Business Development Consultant at Therap. She has worked in the non-profit sector with agencies supporting persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and Mental Health diagnosis since 1995. Michelle was instrumental in implementing Therap at her agency and also completed grant applications and led statewide training efforts for the Missouri College of Direct Support.

Catherine Hauser is a Training and Implementation Specialist at Therap. Her experience in the developmental disabilities field began in 2005 in Illinois as a Direct Support Person. Catherine introduced Therap to her agency and was able to see both the immediate and long-lasting benefits offered by all of Therap’s services.

Natalie Chavez is the Director of LTC Business Development at UVANTA Pharmacy. She has extensive sales experience and is specialized in Long Term Care. Natalie has a successful track record in sales and her clients include Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living/Independent Living Communities and Management Companies which own and operate them.

South Dakota DDD Nurses User Group Meeting

Join our upcoming User Group Meeting for the users in South Dakota that will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from 10 AM to 3 PM (CDT). Jeff and Joshua will be in this User Group Meeting to discuss Comprehensive Health Assessment. Moreover, they will talk about several Therap modules and features including :

Know the presenters:

Jeff Covington is the Deputy Director of State Implementation at Therap.  Since 1994, Jeff has been working in the field of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and has experience working in summer camps, supportive apartments, in-home services, respite care, day habilitation, day treatment, as well as residential services specifically for individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome.

Joshua Corzantes is a Senior Training and Implementation Specialist at Therap. He has worked in the field of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities for 11 years.  Prior to joining Therap, Joshua worked as the Assistant Director of Programs, where he gathered knowledge about Therap and implemented Therap application at an agency.

Regional Conference in Springfield, Illinois

Join our upcoming Regional Conference in Springfield, Illinois on October 24, 2019. The event will be a good place to learn about recent developments in the Therap system, as well as individual support documentation and reporting, electronic health records (EHR) and training management from the technology leader in the developmental disabilities field. State Conference in Oacoma, South Dakota

Join our upcoming State Conference in Oacoma, South Dakota on February 20-21, 2019. The conference will be held for two full days of sessions lead by Therap experts. This is a great opportunity to network with your counterparts from across the state. Therap is working with South Dakota Division of Developmental Disabilities to provide Data Collection, Plan Sharing, Case Management Billing, and Critical Incident Reporting. South Dakota has implemented Critical Incident Report (CIR), Service Support Section of ISP Plan, Case Note Billing, Quarterly Monitoring Report and many more. Providers in South Dakota cannot bill for current month’s services unless the person has been discharged. Newly admitted individuals will need to be assigned to a Case Manager, enrolled in a program and have a Service Authorization in place.

The conference will be a good place to learn about new developments in the Therap system, along with individual support documentation and reporting, electronic health records (EHR) and training management from the technology leader in the developmental disabilities field. There will be beginner, intermediate and advanced level sessions.

About the Presenters:

Justin M. Brockie is Chief Operating Officer at Therap. Justin has worked directly with state and county governments and large multi-state providers. He has led Therap’s development, technical, customer support and training teams in devising new, innovative solutions to issues confronted by human service professionals.

Jeff Mau is Business Development Consultant at Therap. Jeff became familiar with Therap platform when he took on the role of Regional Therap Coordinator for Mosaic, a national service platform. He primarily works with agencies in Iowa, Minnesota, and Nebraska.

Leah Sewell is Senior State Implementation Specialist at Therap. Prior to joining Therap, Leah used Therap system for documentation of supports in Southern Maine. She currently provides online training and support to providers involved in the statewide implementation of Therap.

Jeff Covington is Deputy Director of State Implementation at Therap. Jeff has extensive experience in project management and leading a diverse team to successful outcomes. His role is to oversee the implementation of Therap for States.

1 month remaining for 2nd Annual Therap National Certified Trainers Summit in Missouri!

This year’s Therap Certified Trainer Summit will be in Drury Plaza Hotel St. Louis St. Charles in Missouri and is less than a month away. This event will focus on highly interactive small group discussions, especially on the direction of the Certified Trainers program itself and keep the Trainers’ ideas moving forward.

Training will be the main focus of the Summit. Certified Trainers will be invited to give feedback and participate in the development of the agenda prior to the event.

Registration is complimentary. Lunches, snacks/refreshments and Wednesday evening dinner will be included in the registration. Travel and accommodations are not included, but we have a room block with a special Therap rate.

Therap in Alabma

Therap is happy to be working with providers in Alabama! The Department of Mental Health Division of Developmental Disabilities has mandated the use of Therap for Incident Reporting throughout the State of Alabama.

Use of Therap for the documentation of Incident Reports will allow a more transparent and efficient process statewide. Implementation of Therap began in early 2016. Providers began using Therap’s General Event Report module effective July 1st, 2016.
