I began last week traveling to the MACMHB conference in beautiful Traverse City, Michigan. Fall time in Michigan is phenomenal! Here are a couple of photos I took while there:
And here are more photos from the Grand Traverse Resort, where the conference occurred:
I then had the opportunity to attend the OPRA conference in Columbus, OH. I talked with many providers throughout the state about solutions Therap can provide.

Last week (August 3-4) I had the opportunity to attend the ARRM Technology Showcase in Bloomington, Minnesota. The focus of the event was to discuss how technology is impacting the I/DD industry and to visit with vendors about their various tech tools. Of the 150-200 attendees, there were 30-35 current Therap users representing about 20 Minnesota agencies.
I had the pleasure of meeting these users, answering questions and visiting about the recent Release, Individual Based Caseloads, how the Billing Plus functionality works with the MN-ITs system… lots of great conversation.
It was also great to meet agencies that were not electronic database users and show them the advantages of using the Therap System. This group was interested in seeking solutions.
The conference adjourned Tuesday afternoon, and after talking to the last agency in the hall, I packed the booth, gathered my materials and decided to not work in the hotel room. I had been there since Sunday afternoon and was seeking some outdoor venue to check email and touch base other clients and contacts. Since this was a technology show and I do “work in the cloud”, why not checkout a local lake with internet access? There are 10,000 lakes in the state, right?
So, by 5:30pm, I was sitting at Lord Fletcher’s dock on Lake Minnetonka, doing catch-up work, having a walleye sandwich and ice tea. A great way to cap off a very good conference.
(BTW – No mosquitoes!)
Thanks to ARRM for hosting the event. I look forward to attending next summer.
It has been a good first day meeting with the good folks in Nebraska as we kicked off the NE Conference in Omaha. The excitement associated with the upcoming release and the new billing features that are going to be available in the billing modules has been very well received. Therap’s new release will definitely expedite and provide efficiencies for providers to enter data thru the attendance modules to get paid and document services in NE.
In addition to the billing module updates we are also going over the release of the individual based caseloads that I believe will be welcomed by all the agencies. This along with the other module enhancements are making this weekend a very welcomed event.
I was fortunate enough to be selected to attend the 2015 ARRM Conference this past week in Bloomington, MN. Wow… I met a lot of people and many Therap users, all of which were quick to share that they “love” Therap. As the “new guy” (this was week 3 for me with Therap), it was great to meet new people and our customers. Thank you for taking the time to seek me out. I appreciated the conversation and kind words.
There were times that the vendor area was so busy, I was not able to jot down names and contact information. So… please take advantage of my offer of sending me an email to get information you seek and/or to simply say ‘hello’. Again, my email address is firstname.lastname@example.org .
If we do not connect in the near future, I will be attending ARRM’s Technology Conference & Showcase, Monday, August 3rd & Tuesday, August 4th, 2015.
