Meet the presenters:

Michelle Saunders is a Business Development Consultant who joined Therap Services in 2012 primarily focusing on Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Michelle has worked in the non-profit sector with agencies supporting persons with I/DD and MH diagnoses since 1995, starting as a direct care staff and then as a case manager in Central Pennsylvania.

Catherine Hauser has joined Therap Services in 2017. Her experience in the developmental disabilities field began in 2005 in Illinois when she became a Direct Support Person. Currently, she is a Training & Implementation Specialist here at Therap Services.

Know the presenters:

Michelle Saunders who is a Business Development Consultant joined Therap Services in 2012. Michelle has worked in the non-profit sector with agencies supporting persons with I/DD and MH diagnoses since 1995, starting as a direct care staff and then as a case manager in Central Pennsylvania. Michelle relocated to Missouri in 2005 and worked as a consultant for an organization in Columbia, Missouri.

Heather Thornton is a Billing Specialist here at Therap. She has worked in the ID/DD field for over 4 years in various capacities. With her previous agency, Heather helped to implement Therap from T-logs to Billing. Heather is from Oklahoma and she moved to Colorado approximately 5 years ago.

Catherine Hauser is a Training & Implementation Specialist who joined Therap Services in 2017. Her experience in the developmental disabilities field began in 2005 in Illinois when she became a Direct Support Person. Previously she was serving as a chairperson to the Human Rights Committee, Psychotropic Review Committee and Behavior Management Committee and provided training as a DSP Course Coordinator.

State Conferences in Nebraska are Coming Your Way

Therap team is coming to  Nebraska for a state conference. We have scheduled to host one of our state conferences in Lincoln, Nebraska on November 27, 2018, at The Lincoln Marriott Airport Cornhusker Hotel and the other in Kearney, Nebraska which is going to take place on November 29, 2018, at Younes Conference Center.

and to Users in the area are invited to join us to learn about the latest Therap updates including Electronic Visit Verification for upcoming Federal regulations and new Business Intelligence Dashboards for tracking health and billing data. The conference is going to be a day full of sessions by Therap experts and it will offer a chance to network with counterparts from across the State of Nebraska. Know how Therap is working with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services and implementing state-wide solutions for improved and efficient services to individuals with intellectual disabilities in the Cornhusker State.

Leah Sewel who is a Senior State Implementation Specialist, worked with Therap Services since 2012, starting out in a training role. Leah has worked in the Human Services field since 1999, providing comprehensive services to individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnosis.

Tracy Linko who is a State Implementation Specialist, joined the Therap Services Team as a Billing Specialist in 2016. She assisted her previous agency in implementing Therap and was the Therap subject matter expert in addition to her duties as Finance Manager.

Calvin Christensen who is a Business Development Consultant in Therap joined Therap Services in 2014 and began working in the mental health and developmental disabilities field in 2010. Calvin worked for an agency in Nebraska who provided services to adults who were considered high risk.

1 month remaining for 2nd Annual Therap National Certified Trainers Summit in Missouri!

This year’s Therap Certified Trainer Summit will be in Drury Plaza Hotel St. Louis St. Charles in Missouri and is less than a month away. This event will focus on highly interactive small group discussions, especially on the direction of the Certified Trainers program itself and keep the Trainers’ ideas moving forward.

Training will be the main focus of the Summit. Certified Trainers will be invited to give feedback and participate in the development of the agenda prior to the event.

Registration is complimentary. Lunches, snacks/refreshments and Wednesday evening dinner will be included in the registration. Travel and accommodations are not included, but we have a room block with a special Therap rate.

Missouri User Group Meeting in KC Area

Therap users in the state of Missouri are welcome to join our user group for state specific discussions on implementing Therap in the state. The user group meeting will take place on April 30, 2018 at 10:00 AM CDT in Kansas City and will be held at the Center for Developmentally Disabled.

Users are welcome to discuss how they are implementing ISP Data at their agencies to assist in valued outcome tracking and service coordination.

Valued outcomes/priority goals for individuals can be effectively documented on Therap with details on data collection time, frequency, and scoring methods with Therap Individual Service Plans. Users are able to provide details on staff action(s) and steps that are to be taken to achieve an outcome. Individual Service Plans (ISP) are linked with Habilitation Plans, which makes it possible to add valued outcomes to a person’s habilitation plan directly from her ISP.

Illinois User Group Meeting

Therap users in the state of Illinois are welcome to join our user group webinar which will take place on March 27, 2018 at 1:30 PM CST. We look forward to discussing with you items from the latest Therap update, scheduling module, EVV Documentation, state specific modules and Therap’s response to the recently released joint report by Office of Inspector General (OIG), Administration for Community Living (ACL) and Office for Civil Rights (OCR).

Illinois provider agencies currently use Therap to meet various documentations needs, including demographics, person-centered individual support plans, care plans and more. Therap’s Billing applications include the ability to collect the necessary information required for submitting billing to the ROCS system such as Funding Source and Service Description code. The ROCS Billing option allows providers to download ROCS’ Fee- for- Service Claim Files, generated on Therap, and Import these FFS Claims directly via FTP Upload to the Illinois Department of Human Services Community Reporting System (DHSCRS). Additional features help to track claims for which ROCS Reports have already been created in order to avoid generating ROCS Report for the same claims.
