Are You Registered for the KC Conference???

It looks like a great conference is shaping up in KC on May 22-23. Have you registered or is someone from your agency attending? We have some really great sessions that are going to be led by different individuals from agencies across the Midwest.

Happy to announce that Jim Kelly will be at the Conference to discuss billing.

In addition to the great information and discussion concerning Therap there will also be the ability for attendees to go down to the Power and Light District for a good evening on Tuesday night.

The last few weeks

Hello Everyone! Sorry about the lack of posts! The last few weeks have been quite busy! Chris and I were in St. Louis training the great staff at Bridges Community Support Services for a few days at the end of February.

Bridges Community Support Services

The morning started off quite interesting with Theresa setting off the alarm to the building, but all of that was taken care of and Chris and I were able to train even with the ringing in our ears :) We also ate at a fantastic little Thai Restaurant that I would highly suggest to anyone in the area called “Pearl Cafe”. Thanks for all of the help Theresa!

After St. Louis I spent some time with another fellow trainer Stephen Flanigan in New York. We spent the week training with Heritage Christian Services.

Heritage Christian Services

We received a very warm welcome complete with Therap colored balloons and a TON of great food and snacks every time we turned around

Thanks especially to Liz for being such a great host!!  Since it was my first time to Buffalo (and Rochester) Stephen was kind enough to take me to Niagara Falls after training one evening. Thanks to daylight savings it was still light out when we got there and we walked around the falls until dark. Thanks Stephen

Niagara Falls!

Me at Niagara Falls for the first time!

Lastly! I spent a few days last week in the Wisconsin Dells at the fabulous Kalahari Resort for the Rockin WALA Conference! I chatted with a lot of really great providers. The Dells looked like they would be quite fun to go to in the summer time, although I feel I lucked out with a 75 degree week in Wisconsin in March! I look forward to visit again sometime soon to do some on site training :) Hope everyone has had a fabulous March, I personally can’t believe it’s almost over!

Therap Sponsors Missouri Association of Rehabilitation Facilities

This past week it was great for Chris and myself to attend the MARF Legislative Dinner in Jefferson City, MO which Therap sponsored.  We had an opportunity to connect with many of the MARF agencies that are involved with MARF as well as elected state leaders from around the state of MO.  It was great to be able to tell so many different people about the value that Therap brings to the developmental disability field.  Therap currently partners with many of the existing agencies that are members of MARF in providing a documentation solution.  If you are a member and not using Therap it really is in your agency’s best interest to give us a call to discuss how we can make a difference in your agency.

Great Meeting with Cole County Residential Services in Jefferson City, MO

It was great for me to spend some time with Cole County Residential Services in Jefferson City, MO.  Melanie Hessman is the director of the residential services at Cole County and we were able to spend some time with her and her staff.  Cole County had just went through a recent audit and it was nice to talk with Melanie to see how Therap benefited them in that process and made it easier due to the accessibility of the records recorded in Therap.  We also spent some time looking into some different Therap applications to assist the group of utilizing even more elements in the Therap suite of applications.  It was a good day.  I caught a little of it on our most recent video blog.  Take a look!

St. Louis Conference Day 2

Downtown St. Louis in front of the Arch

Day 2 at the conference is kicking off this morning and we are looking at Therap 9.0 which is scheduled to be released later this month.  Some pretty cool new elements in the system that I am looking forward to sharing with all of the agencies in the Midwest and beyond.   Some great sessions and feedback was received on day 1 of the conference as agencies all over have converged on St. Louis to learn more about the national leader in electronic documentation for developmental disability agencies.

Last night we even had some fun as we took in the Cardinals game as they defeated the Florida Marlins at Busch Stadium.  We all had a great time with some great friends.

Till next time have a great week!

St. Louis Conference Kicks Off

We have a great group that has joined us in the St. Louis area for another side by side conference.  All the usual suspects have gathered including College of Direct Support, Talintel, and of course the group from Therap.  I have no doubt that there is a lot of people that will benefit from all the knowledge that has gathered in this gateway city.    If you are not here…Wish you were!  If you are here… we are going to have a great week!

All Ready For St. Louis???

Despite a bit of craziness that Mother Nature threw at us in anticipation of next week’s conference all things are shaping up for next week’s conference.  The airport is up and running and things are returning to normal.  As for the conference at the St. Louis Airport Holiday Inn things will kick off Tuesday May 3rd and run through Thursday the 5th.  If you haven’t signed up yet you need to do that quickly.

Simply follow this link to get started.  If you have any questions don’t hesitate to call us.

I look forward to seeing you all next week in St. Louis as we collaborate and discuss the system and how to improve the documentation that we are utilizing to care and improve the lives of the individuals we support.  See you soon.
