ANCOR Conf. San DiegoCA_Mar 2007

24th – The three-day ANCOR Mgt. Conference in San Diego, CA was a good one. I flew in San Diego by “JetBlue” which is my favorite airline as it has the most leg space than any other airline that I have traveled so far for domestic flights.

25th -The next morning was the setup and pre conference. I went to the exhibit hall at the Westin San Diego at around 9 am. We had two booths, a medium size projector screen along with the usual stuff. We managed to come up with a reasonable setup and it was the biggest booth at the exhibit hall.

I saw our latest video on last Monday in CT office. which was really awesome before coming to ANCOR conference. It was shown at the welcome reception of the ANCOR conference which had clips from the 1st DSP conference, interviews of the attendees and Therap representatives, Bangladesh, Nepal, etc. All in all, it was really good.

I have always enjoyed the keynote sessions of conferences and this year’s ANCOR Mgt. Practices Conference had a wonderful keynote speaker – Bodine Balasco. Bodine’s keynote was basically on unlocking the full potential of employees in any company. He came up with an entertaining, energetic and interactive keynote on how to increase employee commitment and involvement by examining the latest Top 10 List of “What Employees Want” from a study by the Public Agenda Foundation.

26th – was the official first day of the conference. We also had a table and couple of banners set up at the hallway besides the exhibit hall. Throughout the day, we had attendees visiting our booths during breakouts. There were people from Wyoming, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Arizona, Kentucky, Missouri, Iowa, California, etc. who looked at our products and services. We showed our latest Trade show material, training materials (Walkabouts, Tutorials, Overviews, Role Play Game), training classes, live chat, emails, FAQs’, user and quick guides to the visitors which gave them an idea on the overall range of support and training materials (Online Materials) Therap has.

I also met with some of our users – Lisa Green of The Salvation Army, Delaware, Sue Henning-Mitchell of Catholic Community Services, Arizona and Sheena Watkins from Community Support Services, Oregon. They were also panel members of our session on the 27th. Michele Betanco and Greg Brundage from CCS- CLP, AZ were also at the conference. Meeting all these people was great!
