Where is my Oregon ISP and my Individual Budget?

As you read our Release Notes, you have probably noticed the new modules we have for the Oregon ISP and Individual Budgeting.

These new modules are both ones that you need to have turned on specifically by Therap.  In Oregon and in Nebraska we are doing this in conjunction with the state to be sure that everyone involves the processes involved.  We should have much more in the way of details on that soon.

If you are outside those two state and are intersted, please let me know.

If you would like to try them out in a DEMO account, again, get in touch and we can set that up for you.

Working with Therap 2012.2

After a bit of a bumpy weekend and some downtime this morning, it seem like Therap 2012.2 is purring along nicely. (we are of course continuing to keep a very close eye on things)

Now it is time for folks to get used to working with Security Profiles, the news privilege managements screens and work out how to get the most out of both as well as the host of other features.

As with any change, we know it’s going to take time to get used to it, but I am convinced that the profile functionality makes Therap more powerful than ever.  At the same time, nothing is ever done and we want to hear from you about refinements that would make […]

If it was easy, everyone would do it

I was just talking to one of our customers about changes and things and described yesterday as “hairy” which I think fits the bill.

While it took much longer than expected and we would obviously much rather not have any unexpected downtime, when you have a complex system like ours and are bringing out the new features people want and need it is always going to be a bit of a balancing act.

One thing to remember in all of this is how secure your data is.  It is always replicated and backed up directly at the database level to ensure that your data is ready and waiting for you when the application is up and running again.

While getting the application up […]

And we are back… Welcome to Therap 2012.2

Hopefully it wasn’t too hard on you during our upgrade, but we now have a lovely shiny new version of Therap for you.

Please, please, please make sure that you read the release notes, especially about Security Profiles.

Let us know what you think

UPDATE: Oops, I might have been a bit early with that, we should be back in another half hour or so

3:00pm Eastern: Ah the joy of software development.  We’re still seeing a few wrinkles we need to take care of, but we’re working hard on it and will be with you as soon as we can

Three Security Profiles in Therap 2012.2

Having worked with a number of our users during the Beta period of our upcoming release, we have determined that it makes sense to have a total of three Security Profiles available for each user.

Based on the conversations I have had, they seem to go something like this:

Profile 1: Core Caseload and Super Role.

Profile 2: Agency Wide Submit Only or On-Call privileges with Agency Wide Super Role.

Profile 3: Secondary postion Super Role/Caseload

How do you plan to take advantage of this new functionality?

Therap 2012.2 to be released on July 28th, 2012

Therap 2012.2 will be released on Saturday, July 28th 2012.

As usual with a large release like this we will require significant downtime.  Most of this downtime is required to transform the database to it’s new format under the new application.

We are currently estimating that we will be down for about 14 hours starting late on Friday July 27th.

Please be sure to be prepared to be without Therap for this length of time.  My usual advice is to treat it a bit like a fire drill.  Do you have all the processes in place to be sure you can continue in the event of an unexpected outage (most likely losing power or internet).

Remember: Release Notes here.  Try out the Beta […]
