Therap 2013.2 :: Beta Release Available

Video on Therap 2013.2 Release Preview

We have now published the Beta version of our upcoming 2013.2 release (expected in the middle of July).

Remember, the data in the Beta is a copy of your original data and won’t be kept (that’s why there are big red borders and a warning not to enter real data).

This is a great time to try out new features that you may not have access to in your regular account.  If you want to take MAR or some of the CCHIT features for a spin, just ask us to turn them on in your beta account at no additional charge.

Don’t forget to read the release notes.

I’ll be doing walk thoughs of the various modules over the […]

Moving from FirstPage to Dashboard

This is a follow up to a number of posts that I have made on the topic, but notably this one back in June.

A few very, very old people may remember when Therap looked like this:

Main Menu

Those of you who were around for the release of Therap 5.0 will remeber the excitement (and consternation!) when FirstPage was introduced.

Since then we have added so many modules that if you were to have a full set of roles you FirstPage would be so long that it takes a long time to load and is really hard to find things, let alone find those numbers where there are forms waiting […]

Working with Medication History and MAR

As you have probably noticed (particularly) if you are a nurse, we made some pretty big changes to med history in our last release.  These changes were made to ensure data integrity between Med History and the MAR.  While the change was absolutely the right one, we did miss some work flow issues which make medication history too awkward to work with just now and for that I apologize.  We are working on both short and long term solutions to these.

Data Integrity

Let me start by going over why we made the change.  When you look […]

The future of Service Authorizations

Screenshot of Service Authorizations

I am just returned from a very successful and exciting conference in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Probably the most exciting feature we discussed over two days with the 250 attendees was our latest updates to Individual Budgeting.

Thanks to a lot of hard work and patience from some great Service Coordinators and providers in Western Nebraska, this module is really taking shape.

What you can see from the screenshots is a budget (or cost plan if you want to call it that) which allows the Service Coordinator to build a plan with the individual, budget it out across the year and then send the authorizations the appropriate providers who can […]

Therap 2013.0 :: Introducing Multi Individual Events

MIE Dashboard

Ever since we produced our first Incident Report in Therap 1.0 about 10 years ago, we have been asked how we deal with an incident involving multiple individuals.  Up to now, we basically didn’t other than insisting (very strongly sometimes) that a single GER or incident report had to be about just one individual in order to preserve HIPAA compliance and data integrity.

Well, in Therap 2013.0 we are introducing the concept of Multi Individual Events!  The way I look at it, there are basically two scenarios.  The first is a bus crash and the second is an altercation.  In the first, the same thing happened to […]

Looking forward to Therap 2013.0

I think that this is my favourite part of the a whole release cycle, when I first get to play with new features and modules.

We are currently planning to release Therap 2013.0 in the middle of December (hope to have an actual date fairly soon, but you know how it is with these things).

There are a bunch of cool things coming out in this release, the biggest of which are probably Multi Individual Events and the completion of our CCHIT modules, but there are are other things in billing, ISP, and suchlike that I wil try and introduce you to over the next couple of weeks.

This release will also see us taking the next step towards moving completely from FirstPage […]
