Therap at the NASDDDS Annual Conference in Washington, DC

Peter and I are at the National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services (NASDDDS) conference in Washington, DC (well actually Alexandria, Virginia if you want to be really accurate).

This conference is a great opportunity to mix with and list to many of the leaders from across the country in services for people with intellectual disabilities.

We’re delighted to be involved and are already looking forward to next summer in Kansas City, I hear they even have a baseball team out there!

NASDDDS in Alexandria, Virginia

Peter and I are spending a vew days in Northern Virginia with State Directors from aorund the country.  It’s nice to see one of the keynote speakers be from our home state of Connecticut, none other than Joette Katz, the Commissioner of Connecticut’s Department of Children and Families and Governing Magazine’s 2012 Public Official of the Year.

This is a great conference for both policy wonks and for networking.  If you haven’t been before, you should give it a try, it’s quite an impressive guest list!

Reinventing Quality 2012 in Baltimore, Maryland

Yesterday and today, Ken, Peter and I are at the Reinventing Quality Conference in Baltimore, Maryland.

I tend not to go to as many conferences these days, but this is one I will definitely be back at and would encourage anyone to attend.

There have been some great sessions going on, but even more than that it is a tremendous group of attendees with a very interesting balance between providers, governments, and academics/consultants.

Of course there are also an awful lot of Therap customers here which just adds to the fun
