We have been talking about it for a long time, but the wait is almost over. On June 26th 2015, we will start the final stage of bringing you Therap 2015.0.
This is a huge release. As you know, the change to Individual Based Caseloads touches just about every element of Therap (and will make it much, much better!), we are also bringing out Unified Billing (starting in Nebraska – much more about this for non-Cornhuskers later).
In order to move from the old world to the new, we not only have to upgrade our software (and many of the utilities behind it), we also have to migrate the database to the new format. This means translating millions of records.
We need to be sure that we are doing this properly and once done it is all tested (we are currently testing both the transition and the new setup in our test environments), so we will have to shut down the system for a full 24 hours to complete the process.
The system will be down from 9pm Eastern on Friday June 26th until 9pm Eastern on Saturday June 27th. (we will display this in other timezones on our splash page)
My standard advice to people when we face downtime like this it to use it as a chance to practice what you would do if you lost power, internet access, or Therap for a prolonged period. The good thing here is that you are getting notice. So print out those MARs, get the offline forms ready and make sure your staff know what to do.
Over the next couple of weeks, we will continue to remind you to get ready and offer you some strategies for doing so.
