Scotland 6 – Faroe Islands 0.

Scotland have a habit of playing awful games against sides that they really should beat (including a couple of draws against this team in previous competitions).

This was the first game in the qualifying stages for Euro 2008. Scotland have been drawn in a group that includes World Cup Finalists France and Italy so they really don’t have too much of a chance. However the team seems to be playing mych better under Walter Smith than they did under the dire Berti Voights.

Also notable in this match was Steven Pressley tying the records for caps by a Hearts Player (though if you ask me, it won’t be too long before Craig Gordon takes that record and makes it his own.

Let’s hope we can keep it up against Lithuania on Wednesday and make the group interesting.
