“The Poker Church” Cody, Wyoming

One of the fun things we’ve been doing on this trip is finding a church to stop in and sample on Sunday mornings. Our first was in Mount Shasta, California, your typical small, struggling, friendly Episcopal Church (with the best cookies we’ve found so far).

Last week it was St. Lukes in Coeur D’alene, Idaho. A quaint old church where it seemed like the altar was miles away.

Today it was Christ Church in Cody, Idaho where the church building was built with the proceeds of a game of poker won by Buffalo Bill! They also hold services in an outdoor chapel on the edge of Yellowstone.

From there we drove across the rest of Wyomng, seeing some incredible sights in the Big Horn Mountains and then finnaly, some Moose!
