Sunday we left the hotel early to get to church on time. Unfortunately, the church we were headed to was in Page, Arizona, and Arizona doesn’t do daylight savings time, so we were an hour early. Oops!

Church was sweet. The people were really nice, we got cool travel mugs, and they had really good angel food cake. Plus, the pastor sounded like Sam from Lord of the Rings, which was pretty awesome.

After church we drove down to Lake Powell to go on a boat tour. That was amazing. The river was lined with tall, red and white canyon walls. One of the most stunning things was called a tapestry, where natural lines of red, white, and brown ran vertically down a flat canyon wall. It was incredible!

The boat driver was funny, asking passing kayakers if the McDonald’s was open. I think it amused them just as much as it amused us!
