Hearts 1 – Rangers 0

My memories of supporting Hearts now go back over thirty years (which is scary in its own right!). It always seemed like everytime a good run would come to an end it was at the hands of Rangers.

It’s much like being a Mets fan when the Altanta Braves manage to always be the ones to kill us off. Interestingly the catch phrase of “Believe” is starting to make its way from Flushing to Gorgie.

So today’s game had enormous significance and even though Rudi Skacel didn’t score, his Czech teammate Roman Bednar did and life is still good!

Added to this is that Hearts did lose last Wednesday to Livingston in the League Cup (a minor domestic competition). This is probably a good thing as it gets the losing over and done with and will also reduce the number of games that have to be played.

It was a good Saturday for the Wolcott Warriors U-11 Boys who won 6-2 in Litchfield against a very spirited and sporting Litchfield side.
