After a nice leisurely start to the morning, Mum headed off to a harp practice (complete with a harp on her back) and the rest of us got ready to head down to Murrayfield (the Scottish international rugby stadium) to watch Hearts play Barcelona in a pre-season friendly.
Note the fancy new Hearts tops. Iona is particularly happy because hers is a specially designed girls one. Calum now says he has one for each day of the week.
It was the largest ever home crowd for a Hearts match (57,000+) and a whole lot of fun even though neither team seemed to be trying desperately hard. Barcelona showed glimpses though of why they are one of Europe’s top sides and it was a treat to see the likes of Ronaldhino, Henry, Eto and the like
Ronaldhino scores from a very soft penalty awarded by the Hibs supporting referee.
The whole thing was very nicely arranged by the afore-mentioned Scott who was there with his Calum (he now knows his godfatherly duties include blog commenting!)
Barcelona ended up winning 3-1 thought it was fun for a while at 1-1 after Hearts scored.
Tomorrow it is off home again (almost) I will be meeting Michele in Newark, NJ swapping bags, giving her a couple of children and heading directly off to Kentucky!

Hey, did Calum forget how to smile while he was away?????????????????? Give my love to your Mom and Dad and thank them for entertaining Calum. I know he has plans to return very soon!
Have a safe flight and I will see you very briefly at the airport before your next adventure. Thank goodness this is a short one! I am now ready for a vacation myself. Siraya and I have certainly had a chance to bond and now I do believe it is your turn!!
See you very soon. Lots of Love!
