Rifat wrote this response to a customer who asked a question about an easy way to save comments on a GER and send it via SComm at the same time.  I had never thought of doing it this way so fugured other people might not have eather.

The review comments need to be ‘saved’ before other staff members can see the comments. When you save your comments they are viewable by all users who have access to the GER.

If you would like only the submitter to see your comments you can return the GER by sending it through SComm.

Please follow the steps below to do so:

Step 1: Click on the Approve link under the General Event Report area of your FirstPage. This will take you to the GER Approve List. Click on the GER that you would like to return. Note that you can only return GERs that are in pending approval state.

Step 2: At the bottom of the report you will notice a ‘Send via SComm’
button. Click on that button. This will take you the SComm Compose page.

Step 3: Next, select a recipient. In this case the recipient will be the submitter of the GER in concern.

Step 4: Under the Form Attachment(s) section you will notice that your chosen GER has been attached. It appears as a link (in blue). Click on the link to open the GER in a pop-up window.

Step 5: At the bottom of the GER there is a ‘Return to Submitter’ button.
Click on this button to return the form to the submitter. You will get a message that the form has been rejected. Next, click on Back. You will return to the Compose page.

Step 6: On the SComm page, you can explain to the submitter why you are returning the form. When you have finished composing the message, click on the Send Message button. This will send an SComm to the submitter with your message and attached GER. This will help your staff member to know why you have returned the GER.

Try it and let me know what you think.
