Greetings from Minneapolis/St. Paul (I love airports with wireless access)
After spending an amazingly long day at the ball field yesterday (from 3pm to 11pm thanks to having to make up games postponed by tropical storm Cindy) I have a few observations on youth coaches:
Baseball
Why is it that adults expect a 10 year old kid to be able to throw a ball when six adults are all shouting conflicting instructions?
Swimming
Why is it that coaches feel that it is necessary to tell kids what direction to swim in?
Soccer
No chance! You’ll have to come to one of the games before you get to make fun of me. Now that baseball is done with, I am getting very excited about the fall season starting.
Having said all that, this was a fun baseball season and I am very grateful to Kevin and all Calum’s other coaches for all the work the put in.

Hi Dad. It’s raining. A lot. Sure, put in a good word for soccer and baseball, but don’t say anything about how great swimming is! You’re just annoyed because all of my meets are four hours long, though compared to Calum’s last day of baseball, that seems quite inviting, doesn’t it? :)
