Going Live with IRMA in New York

Finally, after much testing, we will be going live with our incident reporting interface to New York’s IRMA System.

Many of you will also have received the following memo:

Good afternoon,

Therap will be going live with the IRMA file upload process on July 9th, 2012. When the process goes live, there will be several changes that you should be aware of:

  • Users with the VA File Upload role will lose their ability to add, modify, or remove incidents in IRMA. This is being done to help the incident data between Therap and IRMA stay synchronized. If you need to continue to add, modify, or remove incident data, please contact your management and IR Coordinator to be assigned the VA Full Access role in […]

Therap's IRMA Interface ready to roll with OPWDD in New York

Graphic showing OPWDD

For Therap user in New York, we are very excited to be moving into the next phase of IRMA implementation.

You should have received the following email from OPWDD.

If you didn’t be sure to get in touch.

I am the OPWDD project manager for the IRMA Voluntary File upload project and have been given your contact info from Therap Services. OPWDD has been working with Therap on developing a process to upload the incident data recorded in your system and share it with the Incident Report and Management Application (IRMA). This will alleviate the need to perform duplicate entries of incidents in both systems.

We are now entering the user testing phase of the project […]

Interfacing between Therap and IRMA in New York

With 2012.0, Therap released it’s interface between General Event Reports and OPWDD’s IRMA (Incident Report Management Application)

You can read all about how it works here.

It should be noted that although the interface is live now, Therap needs to let the IRMA team know when each customer is ready to submit live data.  Until that is done, all data submitted to IRMA from Therap will be considered test data and deleted nightly.

Remember that to be ready to use the IRMA module, you need to add TABS Program IDs to each program and Individual TABS IDs to your IDF Extension.

If you have any questions or are ready to switch over to live data submission, just let us know.

New Features for New York coming soon

We are planning a release for around November 20th.  This will include some updates for New York and our compliance with 5010 Electronic Billing Standards (more on this in another post)

The New York features are focussed on four areas:

  1. IRMA Integration (still in development from the OPWDD side of things – so may not be able to be activated)
  2. Addition of the Pre-Voc Hab Checklist
  3. Inclusion of Attendance data on Hab Checklists
  4. Clearer display of discontinued Staff Actions on Hab Plans

We will be showing off all of these at our Cortland, NY Regional Conference.  If you can’t make it there, we’ll be scheduling a bunch of webinars.

Let’s takle a quick look now though:

1. IRMA Interface

To use the IRMA interface you have to […]

Therap interfacing with OPWDD's IRMA Incident Reporting System

This morning I had the pleasure of talking to the folks at New York’s OPWDD about their IRMA incident reporting system and being able to take data directly from Therap and upload it into IRMA.

The first version of this which we will have ready as soon as IRMA is ready to receive it will work something like this:

  • Complete General Event Reports in Therap as usual including the OPWDD 147
  • Click a button that downloads a special XML file from Therap
  • Log into IRMA
  • Upload the file to IRMA
  • Receive a report back confirming acceptance

One of the nice things about building this interface is that because we can already generate an OPWDD 147 Incident Report, we have all the data we need already.

Over the coming […]
