Six State Summit in Keystone, South Dakota

Therap North Dakota Customers at Mount Rushmore

I have spent the last few days in Keystone, South Dakota at the Six State Summit.  This is one of my favourite conferences, featuring leaders from the provider communities and states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, and Montana.

It is an opportunity to gather and learn and share and relax in a more informal atmosphere and one that Therap has had the privilege to support for about ten years.

This year was an exceptional conference in many ways.  Great presentations, excellent discussions, and a gorgeous environment.

I also learned that Rapid City has its own collection of presidential statues:

Monday in Bismarck, North Dakota

Having been stuck in Albuquerque last week due to a high winds, I am now in Bismarck where it is awfully cold (10 deg F) and snowy – perfect weather for Sazzad.

We’re here for a couple of days of meeting with the North Dakota state team.  We have a whole bunch of really exciting things coming out here (and elsewhere) in January’s 2012.0 release – there should be a beta release of this in a week or so.

Today we’ve been working on Referral, Slot Management, and Overall Service Plans.

It’s exciting stuff!

Tuesday in Colorado

I am in Colorado for three conferences rolled into one.

Today and tomorrow is the Six State Summit, my favorite conference of the year. State and provider folks from CMS Region 8 (North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming) get together to share ideas. These are great states for us so there are lots of old friends to talk to.

On Thursday it will be the Coleman Institute National Conference on Cognitive Disability and Technology in Challenging Economic Environments.

And then finally on Friday it is the:3rd Annual ANCOR Technology Leadership Summit: Technology Solutions for Tough Times

Makes for a busy week!

Bringing the Circle of Support together in North Dakota

Original Picture is Unavailable

Sazzad and I are here in North Dakota, working with the folks in the State office on the next phase of our implementation.

Thanks to individual unification, this is where it gets really interesting and very exciting (once in a while it ties your brain in knots too!)

We have now developed the Overall Service Plan for North Dakota.  This is an annual plan document that can be collaboratively written by state and provider staff, passing back an forward between their accounts in a seemless, HIPAA compliant dance.

We’ll be adding to this an amazing referall process that I think is going to have the same impact on states and counties that T-Logs have […]

Graphic showing Therap version 9.1 is coming soon

In order to give you the highest quality release possible, we are resscheduling Therap 9.1 to July 24th.  This means that the date for getting all your IDFs into in-prep or Approved status is now July 23rd.

We are also rescheduling the webinars previewing these new features (though you can watch a recording of the Single Provider one here at any time).

Rather than doing these as live webinars, I will be recording them and sending out a link to anyone who singed up

Allergy Profiles in Therap 9.1

As well as all the amazing unification functionality in Therap 9.1, we will also be taking our next step towards CCHIT Compliance.

Currently, allergies are listed in a text box.  In Therap 9.1 (if you have subscribed to our First DataBank live drug database) you get all sorts of new features.

Firstly, allergies are now listed individually and can be picked from the First DataBank list.

Now, when you add a new medication, it will tell you if there is a reaction between that medication and an allergy or that medication and another medication already being taken!
