HIPAA 5010 Billing in Therap

As I said in yesterday’s post, Therap 9.2 which we will be releasing on November 20th contains a number of updates as part of our transition from the 4010 to 5010 billing standards.

5010 billing is due to start on January 1st, 2012, however we are still in the process of finalizing the testing that we are doing with the states where we do electronic billing.

For the time being, please do not update the new fields and formats we have as these may actually interfere with your current (4010).

Electronic billing is a very fickle creature and individual states to no always do things exactly according to standards, so please wait for specific instructions for your state.

    New Features for New York coming soon

    We are planning a release for around November 20th.  This will include some updates for New York and our compliance with 5010 Electronic Billing Standards (more on this in another post)

    The New York features are focussed on four areas:

    1. IRMA Integration (still in development from the OPWDD side of things – so may not be able to be activated)
    2. Addition of the Pre-Voc Hab Checklist
    3. Inclusion of Attendance data on Hab Checklists
    4. Clearer display of discontinued Staff Actions on Hab Plans

    We will be showing off all of these at our Cortland, NY Regional Conference.  If you can’t make it there, we’ll be scheduling a bunch of webinars.
