While perfectly willing to accept that Hearts were not going to go the whole season without losing, there was one game I (along with thousands of other Jambos) wasn’t willing to lose. That would be the Edinburgh Derby against cross-town rivals Hibernian.
Unfortunately, that just what happened, with Hibs winning 2-0. Hearts are still top of the league, though that will change on Sunday if Celtic beat Dundee United.
Thankfully the Wolcott Warriors U-11 Boys made up for things by winning 5-2 at home against Litchfield. After a first half in which the boys seemed to be sleeping, they woke up in the second with Calum rounding things off with a finely taken goal, his first of the season!
We have another game tomorrow in Southbury – a make up from all the games that we’ve had rained out recently.
Today the team played with sweatbands embroidered with the number 4 to remember their teammate who has spent the last week or so in hospital. My assistant coach Rich put them together and tonight we delivered extras to Ryan and his parents in hospital along with a team photo taken after the game.
